We ordered sauteed potatoes with our meal and we were given boiled potatoes.The chef said he was new and hadn't got to grips with the menu! We did not think this was a very good explanation and we were a little disappointed.

As it was our wedding night, my mother had paid for flowers and champagne to be in our rrom when we arrived, but they were not there and we didnt receive them until we got back at midnight and the flowers were not in water.

Booking of room did not allow a Double Rooom with breakfast but allowed a this with breakfast. This increased cost by around £12.00 and seemed a little cheapskate.

Think they could serve breakfast till about 11 at the weekend. Also the room maids kept knocking on the doors to get in and clean the rooms when we where still sleeping so why not see who is only there for one night then once we had booked out going and clean the rooms. Not many people will leave a room at 9 in the morning if they have paid for an overnight stay normally you check out the time that you are required too.

The bath in my room had not been cleaned after the last time it was used. Having been wakened up at 5.40am by a faulse fire alarm, then again 20 minutes later, some form of apoligy would have been in order.

The restaurant was over priced and the food was very very average. The stone floor was grubby and the waiting on staff helped with this by sweeping the crumbs from the tables onto the floor with much gusto. (97117394)

No Lift and had heavy bags to carry to the top floor. A ssenior staff member did stand back to make way so that I had room to carry my suitcase, laptop and myself up 3 flights of stairs after a 5 hour train journey which I thought was very helpful and was much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have stayed at the hotel at least on six occasions I over the past three years. Std of hotel and rooms are very good. The only point that let's the Hotel down is the quality and selection of cooked food at the breakfast along with slight service issues on waiting for a table at breakfast. (97057488)

Room standard was very good.

Breakfast choice of cooked food was below average. Also the table at breakfast was not always set. We had to wait 5 minutes both mornings for the table to be set.

The hotel staff on the whole were helpful, however they did loose our registration form and therefore we did not get our newspapers. We also found the service in the hotel bar dreadful, 25 mins to pour a guinness!! We would have expected a bigger room for the price we paid and we really did not get a great deal for a three night stay. (97130021)

Enjoyed our stay but the breakfast was very poorly arranged. The cooked items ran out when we arrived and were not replinished quickly -many people were standing around waiting for the dishes to be filled up. Not sure why the kitchen did not have food ready. This spoiled our eperience. (97440244)

Staff proved to be friendly + helpful+ although we were somewhat dismayed to find soiled towells remaining from the previous occupants.But this was quickly remedied.
