The price was reasonable for what we got. The location was good for North Devon, only 1.5miles from barnstaple, and not far from the coast.

The hotel room was shabby. The shower curtain was broken in parts, the carpet was coming up in places and the table leg in the room was loose. At mealtimes, the dining area was under staffed which meant long waiting times for food and at breakfast time repleneshment of food was often needed. However the girl at breakfast time who did all the serving, was very friendly and tried her best.

It was an extremely pleasant stay, staff very friendly and helpful,rooms were very clean and tidy. The shower was very powerful which is very important to me. The beds were very comfortable aswell. (99051789)

My husband and I and some other family memebers booked into this hotel as we were attending a family funeral and had travelled over 6 hours to get down to devon. The overall the setting of the hotel was pleasant not alot of noise. Breakfast was over seasoned, dirty breakfast plates i had to remove 8 plates before i found a clean one. The receptionist who booked us in was helpful. Two members of the bar staff had were grumpy and rude and unhelpful. The one serving us on the Tuesday lunchtime was very pleasant and freindly. But sorry to say I would not recommend the hotel. (3305022459)
