A very good experience and have no problem recommending it for stop-overs or short breaks.
(108900923)

Terrific Location with Kings X at your doorstep. Clean and comfortable accomodation and a TV with digital chanels.

We were in room 43. To many stairs (50) to climb for a couple with dodgey knees and not enough space to hang clothes.
Geraldine from Tadley, GB (Solo leisure traveller) 05 October 2009
Adequate for a nights stay, but probably wouldn't want to stay any longer.
(108245685)

Double glazing, otherwise it would have been really noisy from the traffic.
Very handy for St Pancras!

The shower was pretty pathetic, and didn't like it being in the same cubicle with the toilet! The stairs are narrow, I'm just glad I didn't have to heave a large case up to the third floor!

I like staying here and will recommend it too people, will stay here again
(108842696)

vaer good value, clean and pleasent hotel, much better then the travel lodge near by, which I used to stay in.

none that really matters (kettle in room 212 would be nice if it was near plug where tea/ coffee things are) only a small problem

Good location but room very basic and worn looking . Could do with an update .
(107778523)

Digital Television, Clean sheets. Good location

Room was small and stuffy , very dated. Dirt on walls and burn marks and stains on the carpet. Window opened fully at ground level . Good for fire escape but not good for sleeping as i didnt want people to be able to get into my room which they could have easily done.

Would be nice to have a discount when one has to leave far too early (to catch train) to have breakfast. Otherwise, comfortable, clean ,convienient hotel. Would recommend.

No bad points!

Clean, basic but perfectly adequate facilities for a one-night stay, chosen for closeness to the new EUROSTAR terminal to catch the first morning train. Staff courteous and helpful.

The staff were friendly and accomodating and the location and inclusion of a basic continental breakfast make this hotel a practical choice; the rooms are fairly small and unremarkable, but overall we have no complaints, and if you're just looking for a place to sleep, this hotel should suit your needs just fine.
(97770050)

Friendly service, prompt room cleaning, excellent location about thirty seconds walk away from King's Cross/St. Pancras Station with post office, convenience store, restaurants, library, and several bus stops within easy walking distance.

Rather pricey for such a small room (though not unreasonable for London), we found two bed bugs in our room, the bathroom was equipped with hot water, but the shower tends to overflow onto the floor a bit and the water pressure was a little weak. Also worth noting that the only way up to your room is a rather narrow and steep staircase; not an issue if you're young and in decent shape, but for travelers with health issues or very heavy luggage, you may want to check if a ground-floor room is available before booking.

There was no bedside lamps, so had to have main light on all the time. The shower was useless, it just trickled out and after one shower it stopped, as if the tank emptied, so had to wait a while before my husband could take a shower and vice-versa.
(97627350)

The room was adequate for the time we stayed there, wouldn't stay any longer than a weekend.

Lighting and Shower.

Lisa from Hull, GB (Young couple) 05 October 2007
The location of the hotel is excellent, just across the road from Kingscross which is the station I came into from Hull. The tubes were just at the end of the street which makes it a good base for sightseeing in London. The accomodation itself was very clean and the room was a decent size, I had booked a double en suite room but got a triple en suite room this was not a problem and the space in the room gave it a bright and airy feel. The check in was for 2pm although we arrived at around 1pm and was able to check in straight away which was very convenient. It was a very comfortable stay. I did not go down for the breakfast as i did not wake up in time!! after a long day of sightseeing the day/night before.

Anonymous (Group of adult friends) 18 July 2007
This was a really clean budget hotel, very near to tube and bus stops. The staff were very helpful. The only downside was the breakfast, which was very basic, i.e. cereal and toast and jam. People would not mind paying a little extra for something more substantial. Overall a good experience.
(97487790)

nearness to tube and bus stops, making getting around London and the sights very easy

The breakfast room had mattresses (still in the polythene)stacked in the alcove besdie the kitchen, which was very unsightly.

This is a gem of a bargain. If you just want a clean, quiet, safe place to sleep then the Crestfield Hotel is perfect. (Let me be clear: if you need a Serta Sleeper bed, reading chair, 100 channels on the TV, and a mini bar this is not the hotel for you.) The staff was friendly, and they were renovating (paint, new furniture, etc) to freshen the look. They also just updated their security (CCTV on the front door, and an alarm). The hotel is a block away from the Kings Cross tube stop, making it a breeze to travel around town. There is a staff member atthe front desk 24/7.
(99118147)

The price! But also the layout of the hotel, the ensuite, and the lovely garden area.

The lack of hooks in the room. It's a small thing, but we didn't have anywhere to hang our towels after showering, or to for our coats.

Location good, room clean & tidy but curtains let it down, breakfast was cereal & toast but it was adequate, hotel has a bar which was reasonably priced, a lovely courtyard out the back to sit in the sun, the reception is manned 24 hours a day and the staff were friendly.

The hotel looks nice from the outside and is one of the more attractive ones from around the same area. Checking in was not a problem and the staff were fairly helpful. When we went to find our room we found it on the lower floor in what seemed like a basement area. Our room was one of 4 in a very small corridor. My partner and I were only using the hotel for an overnight stay which was quite lucky as the room was too small to occupy for a long period of time. The room was merely a small box room. There was no private toilet or shower. The communal toilet and shower was shared by the four rooms and there was no barrier seperating the toilet area from the shower. I found this very unhygenic. I did not find this hotel value for money.
(99606191)

The area of the hotel had easy access to London transport

The room was very very small and also in what seemed like the basement. The room did not have a private shower or a toilet so four rooms had to share one communal room outside in the corridor.

everything about the hotel itself was fine. where the hotel is theres not many shops at all just hundreds of places to eat. it would have been nice to know a bit more about surronding area not just about the famous tourist attractions.

it was clean, everything worked. the staff friendly and helpful.

even though it was winter the room was quite stuffy although we had the window open. the breakfast was only cereal and toast, could have done with at least a bacon butty!
