Novotel Stevenage

A very good quality hotel with everything required by way of minor incidentals available. The restaurant looked inviting and with a pretty good menu, although I didn't use it myself. My room was allegedly non-smoking, but stank of cigarette smoke ! (97341351)

This is my second stay at this hotel in the past 3 weeks and on both occasions the breakfast was less than satisfactory. For the price I would expect a first class breakfast. This was not the case. First stay: Waited over 10 minutes for potatoe. Second stay: Sausages were over cooked and burnt, the taste was quite bad. (97071648)

The only downside was the inpersonal bar area. It was too stark. The decor was not welcoming and the seating too exposed. It would have been good to know the price of breakfast before booking the accommodation- (99602329)

The bar

The room was the worst I have ever stayed in. The bed was supposed to be a double but was two thin single matresses that moved around when you turned and left a gap in the middle. The shower did not get hot enough even though the water was hot at the sink. The room was also freezing when I arrived and the electric heater was insufficient.

Views/noise levels- mainly from decorators in morning - had to close window and then it was too hot in my room Include breakfast in room rate ( even if it is higher)
