Best Western Ripon Spa Hotel

HOtel is set in very plesant surroundings however external and internal decor was a little tired not reflective if internet site. This aside accomodation was adequate and clean however problems encountered regarding meals has not endeared us to return. (107436139)

Receptionist was Polite, efficient and informative. Hotel staff were in general helpful.

Resaurant at Hotel was of mixed standards.First night booked a meal my parteners meal was adequate however my meal was highly salted and totally not to my liking when the meal was returned there was no difference- Hotel refunded charge for this. Buffet breakfast day 2 arrived 30 minutes before end of service. Toast was cold and of various degrees of cooking time. Cost of full english was included however on arrival 3 other tables asked for replenishment of food which arrived at differing times and by the time others before us had served themselves there was not enough for us or others.

Staff very friendly and helpful. My wife was very happy with the cleanliness especially of the bathroom Quiet although only a short walk from City Centre

Breakfast was dissapointing. Sausages insufficiently cooked and then eveything else was mediocre For me the bathroom was cramped, bath narrow and difficult to get into due to position of shower glass.

Comfortable Hotel with good sized rooms and very comfortable beds. It could do with a make over, but it is a genuine hotel run by experienced staff who really seem to care. An excellent breakfast was served in the grand very well appointed dining room and our party of six agreed that it was one of the best hotel breakfast ever enjoyed. (97393309)

It could do with a make-over. Spa in the name infers thatthere is Spa type facilities in house--which is not the case. The Spa refers to Edwardian Swimming Baths which are down the road 200 metrs.

Slendid period hotel in reasonable state of repair. Friendly couteous and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet. Clean and reasonably well maintained accommodation. Was pre informed of events in the hotel. eg wedding reception till late. Internet access a good thing but should have been informed of the need for a login ticket on check in. Could do with some refurbishment but generally good. Enjoyable stay. Lovely formal gardens (97878434)

Staff were unfailing helpful and we thououghly enjoyed our meals at the Ripon Spa hotel, which were a very high quality. The hotel does feel a little tired but the general ambience and character of the place outwieghs this. Everywhere was clean and the public rooms were very relaxing. we got a great deal through Active Hotels and might not have been so happy had we paid full price. (3304272304)

The room was large and well appointed. Staff provided a cot and the bed was very comfortable. Lovley views of sunset over the croquet lawns.

The hotel is very comfortable, well-decorated and clean and the staff are (without exception) professional, attentive and welcoming. The food was very good. The Turf Tavern (pub attached to hotel) was quiet on the nights we were there - but the barmaid was very friendly and welcoming and we felt very comfortable. (3304125395)

Most areas of the hotel have been recently refurbished. The ballroom is currently undergoing refurbishment (expected to end beg Feb) - though this in no way affected our stay. The hotel is very comfortable and was very warm.

We have no adverse comments to make regarding the hotel at all.
