No robe in room as advertised. I had to ask twice before it was bought. A very noisy party on the first night kept me awake. Telephone in room was not working and was removed with my consent. Although I had a breakfast and evening meal pacakage I only ate breakfast which i had in my room and which was most unappertising. I was charged for the sandwiches I had in lieu of my evening meals although the charge was removed when I queried it. The "spa" was VERY disappointing. The pool was small and the steam room and sauna tiny. I had expected more from the advertising

Very high standard of decor and cleanliness. Half board offer was good value for money.

There was some confusion about order in restaurant with foreign staff. Some food provided did not match orders even after this had been drawn to the attention of waiting staff. Presumably this was a language issue.

This hotel satisfied in its facilties to price ratio. Of particular merit are the swimming pool, sauna amd steam room. The pool was pristine in condition and spotlessly clean. I was very impressed with the size of the rooms and facilities provided.

modern clean rooms.excellent evening meal & breakfast we had these in the dinner bed & breakfast deal which we found real good value.i checked the previous reviews & here are my views on them: the room was a trek from reception-ask for a closer one to reception or use the leisure facilities! breakfast was sparce-at 9am we found the buffet well stocked& topped up staff willing to help always. we found it took 15 20 mins walk to town or (99310179)

Good food and very good value for money

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. The bed was comfy, room was nicely decorated, bathroom clean and good shower. Swimming pool and sauna/steam room all very nice, clean and quiet. The restaurant was expensive and we didn't have our breakfast there. We had room service in the late afternoon (quick meal of jacket spud and a salad) which was very quick, tasty, well presented and a much better price, so would highly recommend doing that. Nothing beats eating in bed anyway! Only small criticism was that we were in a double room but we were only given one bath towel and one hand towel, which seemed a bit mean, but I'm sure they would have provided more if we'd been bothered enough to ask. Couldn't find hairdryer for ages but it turned out to be in the desk drawer! Also, we were told by several people that the city centre is a 15 minute walk away - I know I'm not the quickest walker being over 6 months pregnant, but it took us nearly half an hour so allow extra time! Still easier than driving though as there is NO parking to be had. (99690221)

Food was excellent. Good choices for evening meal. Breakfast was well cooked, with a good range. Good position to walk into city centre. Leisure facilities very good. Nice to relax in a hot tub at the end of the day. Should have been told that access to the Thames River Path was limited to weekends only due to construction work going on next to the hotel, however this construction work doesn't impact on the hotel. Rooms very clean and well appointed. Had issue with the temperature of the shower, which was fixed very quickily.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. It was a mixture of business and pleasure and the hotel generally was very comfortable with an outdoor area to relax. Our stay was at the weekend so we could walk down a nearby footpath to the river (due to building works this is closed Monday - Friday). Staff were extremely helpful. Our room was very warm and a thick duvet during a hot summer was a bit much. Also no air conditioning which you may expect for the prices. The restaurant is still being refurbished and although the marque is OK the food was not great. Better to eat in Oxford. Overall though we enjoyed our stay. (3305067264)
