I've paid a lot more for a lot less of what I'm looking for when staying at hotels. Room excellent, staff efficient and welcoming. Good value.

Large airy room, and a period-style four poster. Complementary bottle of wine always welcome. Comfortable lounge, and friendly, attentive service. Would definitely stay again.

View of Sainsbury's carpark unfortunate, but with palatial drapes drawn, and glass of wine, who cares? Menu in restaurant not very inspiring in my view, so ate out. Full English for breakfast pretty good except sausage...why does everyone serve desperate sausages at breakfast?

A very pleasant stay for the three nights we were there. No complaints and would definately stay there again.

The room was large and well decorated. Staff in the hotel particularly friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good.

Hot water took about 10 minutes to come through but if you're patient and aware of it, doesn't pose a problem !! No lift.

The host and his staff were most helpful and pleasant. The hotel was right on the edge of the Tissington Nature trail and 5 minutes walk into Ashbourne centre so was really convenient. The breakfasts were tasty and served quickly. We felt really comfortable and looked after here and couldn't have asked for a better two night stay. My preference is instictively for modern hotels but in this case, we had everything we needed at a very reasonable price.

Helpfulness of the staff, proximity to town centre and nature trails, comfortable bed and massive white fluffy towels!

room decor was a little bit dated

We will be travelling in the peak district later this year and will most certainly stay at the Beresford,

The room was well equiped and very comfortable, off road parking, staff were very professional but approachable and willing to help.Evening meal was excellent, and breakfast most enjoyable.

Overall there was, in, our opinion nothing to dislike about the hotel.

Very convenient for cycling on the Tissington Trail

The staff seemed a bit demoralised and the breakfast was adequate, but not very imaginative. Also the cost was higher than many other bed and breakfast accommodation.

A usefully located hotel on the edge of Ashbourne town centre. Location was a little busy traffic wise and the building 'tired', (creaky floorboards). However the staff were great and we were made to feel welcome, the hotel being efficiently run - we would book again.
