Location, food and friendly staff

Within easy access of the M1. Views from hotel of surrounding areas stunnings. Staff very friendly, efficient and willing to immediately action any request for service. Standard and price of your accommodation by far exceeded other accommodation within the area. This being my first visit to the area, I had been in contact with other hotels / public houses with accommodation and their cost exceeded yours (about £30 per night) and their accommodation / facilities did not match yours. Excellent value for money and an enjoyable stay. (97051656)

Room clean and tidy and more than met the needs of my wife and I.

Although the room was a non smoker, it would appear that the previous occupant had not observed this, as there was a hint of tobacco in the room, but by opening a window this smell cleared within a couple of hours.

The beds were comfortable

Very old fashioned, particularly the bathroom. The lay out of the room meant it would have been impossible for us both to watch TV at the same time - unless one of us stood up!

Bagden Hall surpassed our expectations. The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful, and what impressed us most was the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff members. We couldn't be more pleased with our three days at Bagden Hall. We even got in 9 holes of golf at The Little Gem and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definately recommend this hotel to those who are touring the Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Kirkburton area. (99862596)

Location is superb. Very nice countryside. Lots of points of interest in the area. Close to the M1 and therefore convenient for motorway travel. Full 24 hour service. Great if you are also a golfer as they have a 9 hole course at the hotel. Looked like a good venue for events (private or corporate). (3304483619)

Arrived 20-30. Ordered a Ham sandwich took 30mins to prepare. Sat in a shabby lounge watching a poor TV (someone had stolen the control box.Room 6 is next to the Kitchen extractor fan.Very noisy. When flushing the toilet the top cover was thrown up.(Poor repair on the flushing mechanism.Ordered a paper and an early call.(no call was received. (3304258676)
