nice hotel with pleasant staff

room was nice but central heating didn't work, TV reception poor resulting in poor quality viewing (couldn't even get some chanels. Bed was uncomfortable, normal size pillows and a duvet would have made it much better

I thought the drinks were horrendously overpriced and the restaurant service wasn't great considering the supposed status of the place

We would have expected a warmer room really as the weather was very cold.
The greeting and check out was very nice and I guess as we only stayed one night we cannot comment further.

The tea shop was lovely and the food was super. Breakfast was also very good.

The bed was a bit small but most of all the room as very very cold. also the bath was rather grubby with mould around the edge and it was nearly impossible for my husband to sit on the toilet as it was too close to the hot radiator on one side and the sink on the other.

Room was good quality and full of character.

There were problems with water pressure in the shower and loud noises that appeared to be caused by the central heating.
