A typical Victorian seafront hotel. Very run down. Needs lots ofmoney spent on it to bring it up to modern standards. Unable to get any hot water at 19.00 hrs. Bathroom door would not shut. All carpet and fittings worn. For (3305436364)

one problem we had was the noise from the bar downstairs. there was also a fight involving several people which became loud and overheated. because our room was directly overhead we probably got the bulk of the noise. we probably wouldnt book again because the same situation could arise again. not sure whether we would recommend the hotel, purely on the basis of the noise from the downstairs room. positive comments good sized roomn, and nice to have a sea view.comfortable.
negative comments no complaints regarding the room.

This is not the type of hotel we normally stay in. We prefer Inns with a reputation for good food and real ale.We would have preferred Aldebourgh, Southwold or Orford but the prices were a rip off! So although it would not be our hotel of choice we were very pleasently suprised. The propriators had done the best they could with an hotel that is no doubt very expensive to maintain. (3305041519)

positive comments On the seafront, clean and comfortable.
negative comments It was fine!

We were very pleased with the hotel. The accommodation was clean tidy and a nice size room, beds were made and room cleaned with fresh towels every day. The breakfast was lovely, and the staff very friendly, The bar juke box was noisey in the pub at times, but we liked the music so for us it wasent a problem. Overall if your looking for a weekend break and dont mind an old building that makes a bit of noise and cauld do with a lick of paint this hotel is ideal and recommended. (3305150762)

positive comments We had the deben suite a nice size room in need of re-decorating, but overall all in good working order and very comfortable.
negative comments It is a typical seaside hotel it creaks and can be noisey.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel has a nice position on the sea front with many activites for children directly outside the hotel. Well situated for walking along the promenade. (3304994776)

positive comments Facilities in the room were good. Nice, friendly hotel. Typical 'seaside' hotel with many levels.
negative comments The bedroom was a bit jaded and in need of redecoration
