Great value for money.Easy access and parking.
Restaurant good value and quick, with a possibility for an early breakfast if needed.

Food in restaurant rather boring and as we ate late it had been kept warm and veg not good.
Roy from Shiremoor, GB (Solo business traveller) 03 August 2008
I found the hotel and service good as usual. The staff are friendly and I am familiar with what the hotel offers.
(107120159)

Check in staff at hotel were very helpful as my booking was not listed at the hotel.

Having booked online with Priceline and paid by direct debit. I was informed by the hotel there was no record of my booking. It was fortunate for me that i had my online printed booking slip. I am now a concerned about using priceline for future bookings. Can somebody contact me to put my mind at rest and restore my confidence with the online booking service.

The setting was beautiful and I really enjoyed all the rabbits! The rooms were also nice.

The food in the restaurant was abhorrent. I entertained several business guests on my account and was embarrased by the food. The staff was not friendly. Checking in and out took way too long as there was only one person at reception during a busy time.
Bernadette from Co. Louth, IE (Mature couple) 22 June 2008
I would stay at this hotel again the staff were friendly and overall we enjoyed our stay and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. Thank you.

The room and facilities were execellent. On the 3rd morning the breakfast was excellent.

The breakfast on 1st and 2nd morning were just ok. We had a problem finding the hotel it has very poor signing from the road. we passed it twice and found it on the third time. The double white line (unbroken) from the Leeds side is dangerous as there is a bad bend and then the turnoff for your hotel and should a car hit you from behind while turning into the hotel one would be in the wrong as one should not be turning through double unbroken lines. This should be addressed in my view.

The bed and towels were clean as they should be.

It is possible to see through the grime/wear that this was once a fine hotel. The windows were filthy, the mould growing in the bathroom had possibly developed its own new life form. The room had an overall feeling of decline/decay. I think that someone had stolen my mattress and replaced it with a block of concrete.
Ian from Preston, GB (Mature couple) 15 April 2008
Clean, quiet and adequate room no frills. Great value for money package - we got double room with full english breakfast for 2 included for under £50!
Small (slightly too small bathroom) but plenty of hot water / good powerful shower. Comfortable bed - good controllable central heating in room. Our room was on back - looking over fields with rabbits and the odd fox to watch - those on front would get a none too inspiring view over car park!
Everything worked - no complaints. Would use again at the price we paid, though would not want to pay a great deal more - it was ideal for the base we needed.

Easy to find, good views from room, quiet rooms, excellent value, good pool

Small slightly run down sauna - in leisure pool changing rooms so single sex only - couldn't use facility as a couple.

I used the pool while I was there and the jacuzzi, all very clean and presentable, the view looking from the pool windows was great. I will be returning to this hotel I hope in late August and would recommend it to any and all of my friends.
(97867450)

The hotel was in a good setting and central to my travelling, I was there for a funeral and to visit friends and relatives, I found the hotel very good, had all the facilities I needed and it was a very pleasant and relaxed stay, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room a bit small, although it was a double. The temperature control in the room would not go down beyond 16C. I am afraid I like my room a little cooler than that for sleeping and windows were locked.

This hotel is in a great location for Leeds/Bradford airport, so perfect if you need a night over before your flight. The hotel is very clean and tidy with a high quality finish in the rooms. The continental breakfast delivered to my room was very convenient, as I left before the dining room opened. It was delivered at 0445, exactly when requested. On the negative side, the guy at reception could of been a bit more pleasant.
(97874957)

I liked the condition of the hotel and the quality of the fitments.

The only thing I can think of is the room doors made a loud clunk when they shut.

We was very disapointed with the air condition as it was faulty, We return to our room on the saturday evening to walk in to a fridge, My wife's teeth was chattering, I tried for some time to cut it off but to no avail, I then went to reception and the young lady turned it off only for someone else to switch it back on again in the morning so again i had to ask for it to be turned off.
We was also disappointed to see dirty cups and saucer's on the window ledge that was not removed untill the monday that we was leaving it was not a pretty sight.

Clean room, White sheets and comfortable bed

due to our flight getting in early morning, i wanted to know if it was possible to access our room so that we could dump our stuff and get changed (as we were going walking over the dales) the staff (Tracey) was fantastic, very helpful on the phone, and very helpful on our arrival, she got us sorted out, which made it all the more comfortable for us, i would certainly recommend the hotel and i think it should be noted how helpful and friendly Tracey was. I would certainly return to this hotel.

The accommodation was very good, plenty of room with two easy chairs.

The Bathroom was quite small, and the television reception could have been better.
Bryan from Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom;GB (Mature couple) 04 April 2007
The hotel is ideally situated for passengers using Leeds Bradford airport and is also ideal for anyone wanting to use their car to visit towns and villages in the surrounding area. Everything required for a comfortable stay is made available in the rooms and meals are of exceptional high quality and very unbelieveably affordable prices. I would certainly go there again.
(99086774)

Accommodation was clean and everything needed was available in the room

The fact that a visiting coach tour appeared to take priority over the guests already booked in to the hotel relating to places for evening meal where they were given priority

Straightforward and efficient.
Restaurant food very good.

The grounds gave a poor first impression. There was litter everywhere, plastic bags, discarded bottles, etc.
There was no Real Ale available, merely tasteless fizz.
The toilet flush in my room, 114, was pathetic. I appreciate it is supposed to be water saving but often several flushes were needed - hardly the way to save water.
The TV channels merely said TV1, TV2, etc and it was not obvious what the various selections meant until the programme was looked at. Clearer instructions are required.

Attractive rural location with elegant, spacious grounds, well laid out. Good access to town (and elsewhere).

The ludicrous electronic room keys which failed almost every day. The talking lift (singular): the other lift was out of order and remained unrepaired throughout our stay. No coin-vending machine(s) for soft drinks and snacks. No self-op guest laundry.

Room was clean and well presented, very good value for money

Restaurant food (buffet) was appalling , cold congealed food, brown broccoli soup, black dry tuna, dinner all piled on the plate which resembled a meal which was being seen for the second time, cutlery was dirty ,all in all a very poor standard, I did actually have the cost of my meal deducted when I commented.
