appaulling for the price DO NOT BE DISALLUSIONED BY THE PICTURES as i am not sure where they actually took them. think they need a visit from the hotel inspectors!
(107171105)

i am afraid to say that there really wasnt any except for the friendy but in-experienced maid!

where do we start!!!! the room was disgusting, small and full of dust and the bathroom was full of mould and looked like it had not been cleaned for a year ( no joke ) oh and not forgetting the very rude member of staff that demanded money for our stay on our second day in front of other guests and told us that if we didnt like it there then we could leave NOW !!!!
Rowena from Worthing, GB (Same sex couple) 02 August 2008
Ok - not bad for the price, and it was convenient for St Pancras International.
(97212622)

Room was very very hot, fan seemed inadequate but to be fair it was a very hot evening anyway. I would probably pay extra next time to get a room with air con.
Nick from Norwich, GB (Solo business traveller) 14 July 2008
I will be unlikely to stay again as hotel was expensive. I have stayed in hotels in London for less money which are much nicer.
(97410349)

Very friendly staff.

Although room was clean, the decor was appauling and was well overdue for redecoration. The plug socket for the tv wasn't wired correctly, causing an electric buzzing sound when plugging things in.
Anonymous (Solo business traveller) 11 July 2008
Ideal for 1 night 1 person per room. Very handy for Euston station and over the road from my conference so great. Staff friendly and competent.
(108043819)

Staff very helpful- exhibition equipment had not arrived from carrier company to the hotel. staff tried to help me to sort the problem and kept me well updated with news

Room was very small between bed and desk. Luckily I was on my own but it would have been far too small if with my partner.

Location to Euston station
Clean room

Grey net curtains made the hotel look grubby.
Staff not particularly helpful.

The room itself was very small. Adequate for an overnight stay but would not go back if we had to stay for more than 2 nights.

(97122124)

Fiendly staff; Good food; nice breakfast room

Shower cubicle far too small; shower old and difficult to move; decor in room in need of attention
Anonymous (Solo business traveller) 10 June 2008
Well situated with good access to tube, trains and town
(97283584)

Friendly Staff, Good Breakfast and service

Shower cubical small, being 6"3 and of firm build, used bathroom as a shower room and it worked fine, but if you tried to use the cubical as a shower unit it would be impossible.
Noise from road and other rooms

Overall the food was nice and the staff were very curtious, the hotel was very clean and we would stay again! I didn't realise when I made the booking that the hotel didn't provide facilities for an evening meal, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby!
(97144185)

Pleasent cosy hotel, liked the fact that we were close to kings cross station for the underground etc!

On the first night there was a considerable amount of noise from a room next to us between 2am and 6am!!! The tv didn't have a very good picture channel 5 had the best signal!
Anonymous (Solo business traveller) 25 March 2008
The room was particularly unclean and there was black mold in the bathroom. I immediately returned to reception to request a full refund - I clearly was not going to stay in this hotel!
The receptionist was helpful, however his manager had to be asked twice for the refund - at first he wanted to charge a cancellation fee!
I did eventually get a full refund and was then left to find another hotel, late at night in a strange city...
Avoid this hotel - it's one of the worst I've seen.

The hotel was extremely unclean and the bathroom was moldy.

I've stayed a number of times at this hotel and will continue to do so. It's very convenient to Euston Station and underground links.
The staff are courteous and friendly. Full English breakfast is minimal but adequate, and freshly cooked.
The shower cubicle was very small and had a fixed shower head - I prefer a power shower.
(97780491)

Friendlines of the staff. Very convenient geographically.

Shower - too small (& 'fixed show head')

The hotel was booked by best friend as a present and I was told that it has 3* BUT we were very disappointed with the quality and comfort of the hotel. Apart from the squeaking floor boards and bed, you can also hear TVs going on below and above our bedroom.
I am asthmatic so when I ask for a non-feather pillows, I was told there are none but eventually they managed to find just one, so we had to share... so unreal!!!!
(97980010)

I like the accommodation because it was very close to St Pancras International as well as Euston train station

The floor boards were squeaking so you can hear the people above our bedroom. The bed squeaked even worst than the floor and the bathroom door squeaked as well every time you try to open or close it. The shower is far too small and I am a petite person

Too expensive; wasn't clean; bathroom was a disgrace.

Rooms very small - no double glazing very noisy from traffic. Very hot temperature. Stained ceilings from water damage - discoloured shower curtains (which hotel has those these days).

Its location was very convenient - close to the King's Cross & Russell Square tube stations. The breakfast was good and well served. The counter staff was pleasant and friendly. There was free wireless Internet access.

The room was too small. The bathroom too, especially the shower, was a squeeze. There were no twin rooms and some of the double rooms have wardrobe space for a single person only. The single room under the eaves was hot and stuffy. The access to each room could be changed to a card key one - less noisy for neighbouring rooms when one unlocks a room.
Ailsa from London, GB (Solo business traveller) 11 June 2007
I was so disappointed with the quality of the room, that I checked out after 2 hours. I dropped off my bags, went to my event, and then decided to return to collect my bags and leave as I was upset by the state and size of the room. i slept on a friends sofa instead. i am use to a decent sized room which is clean, yours was niether.

On the plus side, I was impressed by the staff at reception who were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast staff were also very attentive and the food was good.
On the downside, the double room I was in appeared a bit run down. It was quite small, though adequate for one night. The bathroom and bedding were clean, but the floor didn't look hoovered and there were cobwebs in the corners of the room. Also there was some mould around the window.
(99577175)

Friendliness of the staff and the delicious breakfast served.

Room was quite old and not very clean.
Anonymous (Solo business traveller) 27 April 2007
Great for a short stay or if out quite a lot. I would stay again if on a similar visit.

The tea coffee biscuits were plentiful, the bed comfortable. the room, although small was quite adequate, the breakfast and the breakfast staff were excellent.

The shower cubicle was very small but it did function adequately.

We will certainly book again when we next come to London by train.
(99020923)

The hotel is situated within walking distance of Euston and is situated off the main road so that the traffic noise was reduced greatly. We also appreciated being able to open the window.

We didn't dislike anything although felt that perhaps the bedroom was ready for redecorating.
Anonymous (Solo business traveller) 21 February 2007
Generally pretty poor. The room had several cleanliness issues when I arrived and the whole floor stank of cigarettes, permanently.
On the plus side, the location is very convenient and there's free wireless internet access.
I've stayed at several hotels in the area and all were better. Next time, I'll spend a little more and stay elsewhere.
(99332411)

Location very good for getting to the train stations. Free Wireless Internet access.

The whole floor stank of cigarettes, the toilet wasn't clean on arrival, the extractor fan in the bathroom was broken (with a helpful sign on the door telling me not to open it as the steam would set the fire alarms off). There were also a few insects crawling around in my bed when I got there.
Anonymous (Mature couple) 11 January 2007
Nothing more to add. The staff were all freindly and helpful.

Thomas from Ashford, United Kingdom;GB (Solo business traveller) 18 December 2006
With a very wide experience of staying in hotels, I can safely say that the Mabledon Court Hotel is the very worst I have stayed in.
1. The shower room smelt. The shower head was poised at such an angle (and couldn't be moved) that the water simply shot out onto the floor. The mirror light did not work. The whole room was tatty: torn shower curtain, soiled tiolet bowl, generally craked walls, wooden floor covered in mould.
2. The bedroom was tiny (6' by 6') and was not worth 125 pounds per night. The bed itself was reasonably clean, but the facitities were simply non-existent apart from: bed, chair, TV (no satalite) desk and cupboard. It was just spartan and depressing.

TRghe staff were friendly and welcoming and the room quietly located and comfortable.

There was however a very strong smell of smoke in the room which as a non smoiker I found unpleasant and the bathroom also smelt of mould although appeared clean

I was disapointed in the bedroom, could not sleep with window open because of traffic and fan did not make much difference. I have stated my opinion of the bathroom. I enjoyed my breakfast, girls were very helpful and friendly. Man on desk was helpful and friendly. Lounge in not very inviting.

The Staff were friendly, Breakfast was good

Bedroom wa ver hot, small fan did not make much difference. Fan in bathroom was not working. Shower was made for very thin midgets.
