The bar area is unappealing and heated only at one end - unfortunately the smallest end with room for only a few people. The dining room is laid out like a function room - no atmosphere whatsoever. The lunch time roast was poor quality meat - particularly the beef. The evening menu looked expensive & uninspired - £14.00 for chicken breast wrapped in bacon! we liked the fact that,unlike most places,the double room actually has a double bed,rather than two singles pushed together.it is unusual to be in a separate block from the pub itself,but it has been finished to a beautiful standard and we look forward to staying there again soon.

I personally would have liked a little more in the way of a FULL english breakfast.I would'nt consider it greedy to expect more than one sausage,one egg,one tomato,one hash brown,one mushroom and a teaspoon of beans! having said that it did taste great! smashing pot of tea!
