The Hotel was very nice. Bedroom was excellent with lovely clean modern bed linen. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice and hot.

The hotels car park was a meeting point for the local rowdy youths, who were shouting and making a lot of noise. Our cars were not safe and we asked to move them in to the staff car park. A fight broke out just under our bedroom window, the police and ambulance were called. Our bathroom had no towel rail or toilet roll holder.

For a luxury room, there was no fixed shower - only a hand held over the bath shower, which had absolutely no power to it. There were 2 advertised channels not working on tv in room. It was a first floor room & the window overlooked a busy petrol station - net curtains would have been advisable. Even without heating on, it was warm in the room, but it was too noisy to open the window.

I booked the Romantic Getaway. My advertised bottle on Moet turned out to be sparkling wine, which I found very disappointing. I also had to ask for the strawberries and fruit and a second set of towels as these had not been provided.

The bathroom smelt of chips/greese- I suppose the bathroom shared the same extractor fan as the kitchen, the smell didn't creep into the room more contained in the bathroom.

Very clean and tidy room. The young girl serving our break fast in the courtyard was very polite, happy and willing to help.

Loud of fan unit next to our window kept us awake for the two nights of our stay. Unfortunately the shower box was tiny and made showering uncomfortable. In such a nice big bathroom this was a silly design mistake. The courtyard ground was filthy with fags and chips and unswept on both mornings when we had breakfast.

The overall feel of the room was 'tired' - poor lighting. The shower had black mould around the sealant. If you are unfortunate to get a room by one of the 'house' music loud-speakers, you could be in for a noisy time

Overall the hotel provided good value for money with a friendly and attentive staff although it was clear that one or two were new and could benefit from more training especially in the bar area although this may be because they were temporary staff helping during the beer festival. The reception area dealt well with both arrival and departure. If in the area we would stay again. (97642039)

Restaurant at night poorly staffed and breakfast very disappointing.

The room itself was excellent, and met my requirements, especially for a quiet room (except for noisy neighbours at 0400!).

The shower was inadequate - poor flow. Breakfast was disappointing, although when I asked for a roll (rather than toast) it was provided immediately. The integrated bar/breakfast room was a bit off-putting.
