Lovely location , great staff comfortable room delicious breakfast - wish we had time to stay longer.

Really enjoyed the character and location of the hotel. Main negative point is the uncomfortable bed. We were in a double room - the mattress was actualy 2 x singles fitted together so there was a ridge in the middle. The springs make a noise and one side creaked - not for you if your after a "romantic night". Several guests have made the same comments in internet reviews and in the hotel guest book. We can't understand why the hotel can not fix these easy to solve problems which would make the hotel great in all ways. (107674838)

Lovely character hotel with interesting public rooms and bedrooms. Quiet location. Very friendly staff.

Housekeeping within the bedrooms is a poor standard. Dust behind bathroom door, cobwebs in the room. Dog/cat hairs on the rug. TV reception and number of channels needs to be improved.

reception staff helpful, but we have a leak in the ceiling during the night which wet the bed when we explained in the morning about this and having to move the bed away from the leak the response was negative and duty manager infered it was out fault about having sleepless night because we should of rung the duty manager to be moved to another room.

The only slight niggle about the whole experience was that being new to Burford, the Sheep Street sign was not very clear and we had to ask. There did not seem to be a sign on the main road pointing to the hotel. Apart from that it was a very pleasant experience and one which I would be happy to repeat at some time in the future. The decoration of the bedroom and public rooms was excellent
