It was a nice stay. We had free transportation to the train/airport. It seemed expensive, but I guess all the hotels were in England/France. I'm not use to our American dollar being so weak! Nice and helpful staff, cute English house, felt like someones home! Close to the airport, but we were not disturbed by planes or by passing traffic. Very practical with restaurant (and small pub) in the hotel, and the food was not bad at all. The house is very close to the road (with lots of traffic). Since we only stayed one night (transit) it didn't matter, but for a longer stay I might be bothered since we have small children (2&4). (97795218)

The room was clean and the attached bathroom was a good size. The room was a pleasant temperature.

There were no sheets on the bed, only a mattress cover and comforter. The television had no remote control and it was mounted in a high place. We could hear street traffic. We requested a room close to the room our children were in, but they were significantly separated from us.

We were in the annexe which was a converted house. Walls were thin and room small by comparison to other hotels used during this holiday. There was mold in the bathroom that should have been removed. (99157619)

Fuer eine Nacht auf Durchreise war das Zimmer ausreichend. Ich war ueberrascht, dass es wirklich so nah am Flughafen ist. We were disappointed in the quality of our room--although it was clean and the bathroom was a good size, the comforters seemed very worn, the pillows were flat, and the beds somewhat uncomfortable.There were no sheets on the beds---just the comforters.Bedside lamps did not work but were quickly replaced by staff.The shuttle service to the airport was prompt and complimentary. I would like to be able to recommend the hotel, as it fulfilled many of our requirements. However, I did not find the staff particularly welcoming. They did not go the extra mile to make our stay special. When making our booking, I requested soya milk. The hotel were unable to meet this request - I was able to purchase it in the local Waitrose. The food was quite good, the staff were very accommodating, the room was clean, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. They picked me up without charge from the airport quite quickly and also took me back. It was within walking distance from the town where there were some nice shops, restaurants, and Post Office, and Internet cafe.

The room was somewhat small, and you could hear everything that happened outside because the walls seemed very thin.

On arriving at gatwick after a very long flight the hotel provided excelent pickup transport,the staff were very friendly and our room was comfortable and clean. we had an evening meal at the hotel which was of a very good standard and reasonably priced, the bar services were also very good with a nice conservatory and lounge area. The traditional breakfast was huge and really good. The transferes to the airport the next morning were at your request to accomodate your flight times. in our opinion this hotel is value for money we have stayed there before and will stay there on our next flight from gatwick.
