1. We arrived late at about 2100 hours, but there was no staff available with the main door locked, I was lucky that a walk-in customer had a mobile phone and called the hotel, still it took ages for somebody to answer. We were lucky to find out that the main door key was kept under the carpet, otherwise our family would have become "homeless". 2. We could not switch on the bathroom light, we could only solve the problem the next day, is it better to keep a short note for new user, so that we would not have to use the bathroom in darkness.

The acommodation was quite shabby and the staff did not speak adequate English for me to be understood. I was dissapointed with my stay and felt I did not get value for money at all.

Good B&B, clean rooms, good amenities, location was ideal if you have a car but not for walking to city centre. Only complaint is breakfast ended at 8:30, although the dining area was too small for everyone but everyone had to eat at the same time. Only one person serving and she couldn't possible help everyone so it took long, would make more since to have a 2 hour window, maybe from 7:00-9:00am? (99362102)

ashtrees was overbooked but they sorted us out a better one called brooklands for the same price, although it was meant to be a lot more

We had read the reviews and just wanted a clean comfortable bed for the night - this is what we got and the price was OK for basic accomodation. Window blind didn't work well so if it had been summer the light would have woken us much too early. Breakfast was fine and pleasantly served. Didn't see any ash-trees. (3304213386)

It was at the back of the house so was quiet

Fix the window blind, and make the extractor fan in the toilet work. I thought I would die of heat-stroke in the shower room - much too hot & no ventilation.
