ADEQUATE BUT OVERPRICED - WAS NOT WARNED ABOUT THE REFURBISHMENT SO WE ASSUMED THE BAR FACILITIES WOULD HAVE BEEN OPEN (107117238)

positive comments the reception area and one part of the dining room very nice and a nice breakfast was served
negative comments the hotel coridoors needed painting and the carpets were scruffy which did not create a good impression when going to the room. towels in room were frayed at the edges

The only thing i would have liked to have known is that the train station is called west jesmond which is not far from the hotel as me and my friend got off at jesmond and had a good walk. (97152265)

positive comments I thought that the accommodation was clean and tidy the rooms were spacious. I thought the area was nice and even though there is alot of students around it was very quiet, i did enjoy my stay and could not fault it.

A very pleasant stay. Rooms were clean and serviced daily. Bathroom was quite new and very clean. Staff were very charming and professional. Very near the metro station. (99191484)

would have liked to have known that the street was full of trendy bars and young people in them,the noise was really loud.i think that the majority of young people in newcastle smoke.next time i would check out the hotel facilities more. (99992918)

negative comments didnt like that the bar was full of smokers and there was nowhere for non smokers to sit.the music was also very loud infiltrating to our room.

I found the hotel to be only adequate. There were far too many things not satisfactory for the rates charged. THe staff were monosyllabilic The TV in the room did not work The rooms should have had sound-proofing, far too noisy during the early hours The system for breakfast was inadequate for the number of people staying in the hotel (99954049)

positive comments The area it was in and the size & cleanliness of the room was fine.
negative comments The TV did not work. The hotel was extremely noisy and the bar was closed when I returned at 11.15. The layout for serving of breakfast was inadequate for the number of people staying in the hotel and meant that people were standing in a queue for ages before they could have breakfast. Everyone had to queue for everything incluidng tea, coffee & toast.
