We had a lovely weekend at the Keswick hotel, we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and other guests. Good decor through the hotel, room was very comfy and we will definitely stay at the hotel again. We thoroughly recommend eating in the restaurant, the food was delicious.

All round service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, The choice at breakfast was as good as any I have been offered.
For those looking for a hotel on a quite beach this is the one.
For those working and requiring a quite evening with good food offered try this hotel.

Generally good but may not stay again not enough updates to the hotel for the amount of time owners have been there, friendly but outdated. Basil fawlty would be proud.

Great friendly lady
Evening meal was fantastic.

Breakfast was served 35 minutes after we were seated (too long for a simple full english and not all tables were full). Basil fawlty would be proud.

The welcome showed to us was warm, the staff were first rate and unassuming. The chef produced some grand food and the maitre d' so good at his job that I'd go again just to see him work. Everyone was friendly which is part of the hotel's charm. I think that the hoteliers will soon be on top of all the hotel's problems - they haven't been there long and are still catching up. If we had known the food was going to be so very good, we would have booked for longer!

I loved seeing the sea from my room window - it was very rough and so rather spectacular. The double glazing was good so the room was warm even in the coldest Easter ever.

I think a little attention needs to be paid to the plumbing/drains. The shower could do with a scrub. The TV will only receive BBC1 or Channel 4. We had to ask for light bulbs to be replaced.
William from Chester, GB (Mature couple) 26 March 2008
The hotel has an excellent bar & restaurant, and the staff were extremely helpful & attentive. The room was clean and a good size, the bed was comfortable too.

Clean and very quiet, good restaurant, the staff of this hotel were simply sympathic.

staff hospitality was excellent, we could not have been made more welcome. The staff were very accomodating and friendly ensuring our needs were met and our stay comfortable. We were recommended to eat in the hotel restuarant and i have to say the quality and presentation was first class, the best meal i have eaten in a long time.We definately intend to return.

The place is not particularly great by our standards (which are high I admit). The owner was friendly and very nice to us and helpful as well. The decor of the place is not up to snuff and the chip shop (and smells) are particularly bothersome. The rooms are very nice indeed but the presence of traffic on the road makes this a particularly loud experience (lots of that on this coast though so not a particularl negative for this hotel). The breakfast was very good and the service was helpful and always smiling (the owner again). However, in this case, the price was very right so we are not in a position to complain really!!
(3304910868)

Nothing in particular

The place is a shambles. Not the quality that your site would lead us to believe. The pictures are better than the reality. Rooms were nice but the chip shop in the middle and the terrible decor of the rest made this a particularly sad experience although adequate for the purpose and the price
Anonymous (Mature couple) 15 July 2006
Traffic noise and smell from chip shop next to living accomadation made it impossible to have windows open on hot day. The room was not cleaned before being offered for use, bed linen was dark blue and not fresh looking, bathroom area was not cleaned with cobwebs on ceiling and mildew on shower curtain. This was pointed out to the management who did take steps to rectify the problems in the bathroom area and apologized. In general this hotel requires some major redecoration.

Very pleasent staff and small dog was welcomed

Would like to have known about the fish shop, traffic noise, cleaniess problem.

I would use this hotel again and recommend it to others. The price was reasonable and worth the value.
(3304752841)

I thought the room was clean and adequate for our overnight needs. I did think that 2 pm was rather a late time for being able to check in though. I would have prefered to check in about 12 noon because of the rather long and tiresome journey I had made.

I think the only complaint was that there was no-one around to check us in and there was no indication as to how to let anyone know we had arrived. You know the checking in time and I think there should have been someone waiting for our arrival, or at least ready avaiable once the checking in time had been reached.

Bearing in mind it was the middle of Winter - the Hotel was in a nice location with nice sea view from our room. The owner was extremely polite and helpful and it would be nice to go back in the Summer months. The room, although on the small side was clean.

we knew the general area, and it was not the hotel we thought it to be. i think it had recently changed hands. the advert mentioned senior citizen menus, but we werent offered this. the meals were fine but the breakfasts were not very good. when we came down to dinner in the evening, there were no lights on the stairs. to be honest, we only mentioned the heating to the manager, also we were the only guests i think. when the hotel is in full swing it is most probably a good hotel.
(2702762)

very spacious, two large rooms with double bed in each. excellent views over the fields and a sidewaysview to the sea.

lighting and heating. the light in the bathroom was an uplighter, and not very good for shaving or makeup. we had to ask twice for heating to be turned on.

We found that the hotel was situated in a good position but was in need of refurbishment as we felt that we paid top price for accommodation, however we did find the owner friendly and enjoyed our stay.

Good sea view from rooms and good access to the beach, very friendly atmosphere.

The hotel has a friendly atmosphere and is unusual in the layout whereby it is also the local fish & chip shop and you have to walk through this to go from your room to the bar/restaurant. But this is not a problem. The food in the hotel is good and the prices are average. The hotel is central for the Norfolk Broads making ventures out easy to any part.

It was a nice weekend away. The staff were very nice and very helpful.

The seating in the bar was a little uncomfortable and dated
James from Romford, United Kingdom;GB (Mature couple) 21 August 2005
The Hotel was not quite as pictured on the web site I understand that a change of owner/manager occurred earlier this year, The staff were friendly and made considerable efforts to provide a professional service. There were a number of special offers available eg two meals for the price of one. The overall experience was pleasant

The Keswick is very near indeed to the beach, which was ideal for my pregnant wife. The beach was beautiful and is ideal for families as very quiet and secluded. The hotel is also ideally situated between Cromer and Great Yarmouth, however, it is very quiet in comparison to these two locations.

The decor of the hotel is a bit dated and needs to be improved; the room was far too flowery and fussy, though the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The Vegetarian options on the menu aren't great, however, the veggie tikka masala is excellent!

The check in and the the staff were excellent. We had the family room it was large and clean but it had a weird layout. The hotel is only steps away from the beach. It was a very pleasant overnight stay

I think the information we received covered everything we needed to know eg. distance from places, cost and sample menu. We would be interested to make a return visit in, say, a couple of years, when the proprietor has had time to make the changes he was proposing.

Efficient, friendly service. Very good food. Nothing was too much trouble.

Shower not very efficient and there was a strange lighting system but the new owner is working through improvements.
