This hotel is a convenient 10 minute drive from the International Conference Centre with plenty of free parking and run by warm friendly people. The shame is, this hotel is very 1970's dated and in need of modernisation. It is a little scruffy and some areas reminicent of an old peoples home,(ie, spare chairs and beds in corridors; chairs and chipboard furniture that don't match; owners personal photos in the dining room,etc). This hotel is a cross between a seaside B&B and a local pub, including a plastic singing deer head in the resturant. (97298286)

Friendliness of the proprietor and the room and hotel was clean

Very old and 70's dated furniture and tatty decor. Cigarette burns in the plastic sink - non matching taps/furniture. Pieces of toilet paper placed accross the loo as an indicator of being cleaned - mimic of the plastic hygiene seals used in some hotels. This looks so wrong.

It was in the country and the staff were friendly and pleasant.

The whole place required a vast amount of refurbishment. Although clean, it was very 'used'. The bathroom facilities were stained and not pleasant. The beds were uncomfortable and obviously old as they were visibly tatty. The dining facilities were adequate.

When answering the question would I recommend this hotel? the answer is dependent upon the wishes of the visitor. As an overnight stay for a business trip, this hotel was more than adequate. However, were potential guests to plan a stay of more than one night, or were the trip intended to be a holiday, I would not recommend this hotel. (99395750)

The hotel is well situated with pleanty of parking. The accomodation is fairly well equiped, clean and of a fair size. This hotel is nice but slightly run down. The staff are excellent and were very helpful. Also, there are some very useful resources at the hotel such as a large wall map of the local area that I used to get into the town centre. I would like to have known that it wasn't very close to the centre of telford, but this didn't end up being an issue to me in the end. (99775677)

The hotel booking process was simple, checking in was easy and so was the check-out or paying process. The room its self was comfortable and of a decent size considering there was 3 people staying in it. when booking, it would have been nice to know what events where happening in the area but it was no major problem as we found the Iron bridge Gorge museums. The hotel is in an ideal location to get to shifnal and telford. All the staff encountered were very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and we where supplied with plenty of refereshments. (99511817)
