A true boutique hotel - superb location in a small inlet on south cornish coast - very pretty small village which probably mainly emaculate holdiay homes - great genuine local pub up the road and cliff top walks on the doorstep. Still a working fishing village with lobster pots so not completely tweeeed up. Rooms small but done to high standard, restaurant good food with good local choices - staff freindly and attentive without being overly intrusive. Very relaxed feel. Thoughtful touches like being able to borrow wellington boots. No mobile signal - which can be a good thing in the crackberry obsessed world. Lived up to our very high expectations. (97114773)

positive comments All the romantic charm of a smugglers in - exactly what we were looking for in Cornwall combined with modern comforts and a good restaurant.

Would advise anyone to ring hotel as there may be a better deal with them directly. We ended up paying more than the regular rate posted by the hotel by using the web site which did not include breakfast or dinner. Hotel is in lovely isolated village - sole source for breakfast and breakfast as a separate charge is (97548838)

positive comments Beds, linen very comfortable and top quality. Soaps and toiletries excellent. Sound of the sea very calming. Parking available.
negative comments Classic Room was smaller than expected for the price. Did not have sea view, sole window in full view of any guest.

This hotel was stunning. An exclusive retreat in a beautiful area. The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The spa treatments are a must especially the 'hot stones' massage. Please note that there is no mobile reception until you leave the village. (3304139193)

positive comments The accommodation was superb and of a very high quality and the attention to detail was fantastic.
negative comments Nothing!

The hotel is ideal for a grown up holiday, for a weekend or longer. We were made to feel very welcome, with personal friendly service, which was not intrusive. The hotel is more suitable for couples, or even singles, than for a girly weekend - everyone goes to bed about 11pm! (2879164)

positive comments Peaceful, light and airy. Very comfortable bed.
negative comments I cannot think of anything.
