No facilities in the room. Boiler broke down and not running hot water or heating. Initially I had to go down and enquire about the water and was informed it had been switched on but the receptionist did inform us the boiler was broken and things should be ok. Unfortunately it never did get fixed and the night before we were leaving we were offered an alternative hotel but felt it was pointless.

The hotel is neat, very convienantly situated and attractive. The staff are friendly, capable and helfful.

The TV was not working properly and the taps in the bathroom gave problems. a Kettle, mugs and coffee/tea would be a good idea in the rooms. Aircon woudl be a great improvement.

generally speaking, it was a rather fair deal. we were glad about being accomodated in central london and therefore not needing to travel in and out of london. nevertheless it would have been nice if the landlord would have replied to 'good morning' greetings or at least faked a smile. however, we had a great trip to london and did enjoy our weekend trip very much. Location was ok, just a few minutes walk from Earl's Court station. again, nor recommend it.

On arrival there was not hot water for a shower and we were told that they had forgotten to put the water heater on. Our bed did not have any pillowcases on and the pillows themselves were old and stained. I asked about pillowcases and was told that they had not come back from the laundry but would be put on the bed before we returned that evening, which they were not. When I asked for pillowcases later that night it appeared to be a great inconvenience to the staff, but we did eventually get them. There was a leak coming through the ceiling from the room above and a bucket with a dirty cloth was sitting catching the drips on top of the bathroom roof. There was no lamp, the TV had a terrible picture, no radio and no tea or coffee facilities. Breakfast was a basic continental with cereals, fruit juice and toast, but acceptable.

Reasonable budget accomodation in a good location, but the rooms could be so much better for not a lot of investment. As a place to lay your head though it is good value. (99899781)

Very dirty and shabby

On the whole I really regretted staying here. Perhaps I had the last worst room in the block - Right in the basement. So I can't vouch for the rest of the hotel. But it has totally prevented me from wanting to stay here ever again. (99165836)

The location

The cleanliness of room was well below standard. Carpet full of stains and ants. Room right by a noisy road, bright security light right outside the fire exit which happened to be in the room. Room was clearly never aired as it smelt really musty.

When we arrived the hotel had a problem with the central heating and hot water which was not working. They had arranged alternative accomadation, however, we had aspecifically booked the hotel for the location, so chose to stay. The staff provided a heater for the room and were very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, bedding was comfortable and clean. Location was excellent for a stop over after a concert at Earls Court.

The visa machine was not working meaning payment by cash leaving us short in the morning. Also, breakfast would have been improved with serviettes available and a wider range available.

The hotel is cheap and has an attractive location. But is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, it was not very clean. To counter measure the uncleanliness they sprayed the room with some odor remover who still lingeres in my clothes.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I got value for money considering the low prices of the hotel, especially as I was there for Live8 and many other hotels seemed to have bumped up their prices for that weekend. The hotel is in a good location - far enough away from the main touristy areas so it's not too busy but near enough so that you are only a quick tube ride away from the main areas. I would return to this hotel (if they fix the windows!) (2430705)

The room was a good size (although the en suite was a bit small but I didn't mind that too much) and very clean. Very useful to have a fridge in the room especially considering the hot weather the weekend I was there.

The windows in my room were held shut with string but they didn't close properly so there was some traffic noise.

For the price of 52£ a night I would have expected a bit more. I actually had an offer from a well known 4-star hotel for 45£/night, but the location was not ideal for us. When in the room you couldn't tell the difference whether the window was open or closed, it was extremely noisy! The shower facilities were very poor! Either you got very hot or very cold water, adjusting was quite difficult. And the amount of water comming was so little, that it took ages to shower. The room in general needs definitely refurbishing!!! The point I liked most about the hotel was the staff. We talked to three different people during our stay and they were all very friendly and professional!!! (1920609)

We had a car and it was not clear in the ad that a 10 pound charge would be made to park it. We were going to a charity dinner and the hotel did not have an iron available on our arrival and said they did not know where it was.
