A most uncomfortable night. It was a cold night but with the window as wide as it would go and with no radiators on I was too hot to sleep. The ceiling fan wobbled all night and was very noisey.
(97979765)

Close to the station and also the conference

Room much too hot

a good priced hotel room for improvments
(97870077)

the staff were friendly and rooms were kept clean at all times

the room was far to hot even with fan on and window open, both days there were dirty dishes left in the hallway and were there all day, the shower did not heat up, the booking picture online showed a different room to the one we stayed in

The hotel is situated very close to the city and the shopping centre. The room was large and light with all amenities. All staff was very friendly. However, the free wifi didnt work and the room was cold. The shower was difficult to manage as not hand-held. Free internet on computer in the lobby. Hotel clean and fairly well maintained, but rather dull interior from mid- nineties. Good parking facilities nearby which are free overnight.

Overall ok, but for 79 pounds for a single room breakfast 'gratuit' would be appreciated.
Cheers

The room and bathroom were clean; had all the basics; complementary tea and coffee. Great location, very close to the station and the city.

A little bit too hot in the room and corridors. Because i paid cash i couldn't make an urgent phone call from my room.

The staff at the Golden Lion Hotel were very friendly and fair. The rooms were great for the money we paid and the central location was ideal for anybody who would like to go shopping or have a few drinks out on the town. Me and my friends had such a good time in Leeds we are already talking about going back in a couple of weeks and have already decided we will again be staying at the Golden Lion.
(97458892)

The rooms were excellent. The presentation when we first entered our rooms was fantstic and they were extremely clean and comfortable.

There wasnt anything i disliked about the hotel but the check-in process was a bit lengthy but i suppose this was due to us being in a large group. I would definately visit the Golden Lion Hotel when i next visit Leeds.

the hotel was comfortable though the room was noisy. the stay was marred by a fire alarm in the middle of the night but this was dealt with efficiently. staff were very friendly.
(97443218)

the bed was very comfortable. the facilities were good

the shower ddn't work very well. the room was noisy (traffic outside) and the windows clearly needed maintenance

Our room was far superior to the deluxe double at the Queens Hotel, we stayed there the week before and it was fully booked for the following week, the course we were attending was held at the Queens. I will certainly recommend your hotel and in future stay with you rather than at the Queens.
The bathrobes and bath products provided was outstanding - room service was first class and finally the bar prices were very reasonable.
(97503606)

Fabulous room the overall size was perfect and the bed was soo comfortable.

The hotel was booked on the basis of its location and price, and for these purposes it was fine. However, I would not use the hotel again unless I was reassured that the ridiculously high level of heating had been resolved. This was enough to make several of us feel very ill. Another low point for the hotel was the price of the breakfast at almost
(97073207)

The rooms were clean, the staff were pleasant and the hotel was excellently located for the city centre

The hotel, and in particular the second floor where most of my guests were located, was excessively hot to the point of making us feel ill. We were unable to open or close the windows (and in one case the window was nailed shut). The ceiling fans were very loud and seemed unstable. Also, building work began outside at 8am on Sunday morning and was excessively loud for those with open windows (that could not be shut).

Overall this hotel is excellent, has a fantastic location and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. However 2 of the 3 rooms booked were extremely dark and had very little natural light. Directly outside the windows were what looked to be the extractor fans and the wall of another part of the hotel.

Bar/Longe Area, very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere

Rooms were a bit dark, very small window, backed onto Kitchens and Walls

The hotel did not feel like a city centre hotel, more like an inn. The location was perfect, within walking distance of the centre with its train and bus stations. Really impressed, will stay again.
(99475825)

The staff were really friendly and the layout of the hotel was lovely, especially reception area. Our rooms were really cosy and large.

The hotel restaurant was not open.

Well equipped and staff (apart from breakfast staff who found us all rather inconvenient) very obliging and friendly.
Loved the rubber ducks but wished the bath had not been so stained.

Room well equipped, reception staff friendly.

Bath very badly stained, double glazing howled terribly breakfast staff in a hurry to get rid of us, house keeping anxoius to get me out of my room (at 8.30am!)

The hotel was very clean with adequate facilities. During our short stay they were having staffing problems with inexperienced staff and no room service on the night we arrived. However, were I to visit again I would use the hotel again but request a room away from the front of the hotel which faced a main road which was very noisy.
(3304097759)

Good position in town centre, but unfortunately a little noise if you have a room facing the road.

Staff training - a few staff seemed very inexperienced,

Very close to main shopping centre and Leeds Station. Lovely rooms with plenty of space. Well worth the money!
(2893935)

Close to Leeds Station and Leeds City Centre. Very spacious rooms and friendly staff.

It can be very hot at times so perhaps a more reasonable temperature would be an idea. This is a minor quibble - I just open the windows and turn on the ceiling fan and then I'm fine!

We were coming into the city from the north and could not follow the general directions given so got totally lost in the one way system and had to go right out of Leeds and come back in again following the instructions. When we got there we still had to ask the way because we did not spot the name of the hotel above the bright sign of the bistro below. Nonetheless, once arrived we found everything very clean and well kept, everything provided and were only disappointed to find breakfast not included in the price.

I loved the cheerful curtains and carpets on the stairs.

I cant grummble. I enjoyed my stay.

No problem with the room. One dissapointment was the sound of what I think was the water system that was loud when other used it in the morning, but appart from that, I had value for money and the accommodation was situated in the heart of town.

sounds within the water system/central heating.

A well priced hotel, that is very clean and comfortable, and is bang in the city centre. There's supposed to be limited free parking, but I'm yet to see any sign of it, but if you arrive late enough (after 6pm) and leave early enough (8am I think) parking on the street is free, if not the most secure.
(2392139)

Clean, comfortable and convienient for the city centre

Some free parking would be good. Bar wasn't open when I checked in at 10pm.
