It was ok. Serves it's purpose. Was let down by the standards of cleanliness
(107845408)

Quite spacious rooms and surprisingly little noise from motorway

cleanliness (particularly in bathroom) on arrival was very poor. a bit overpriced for the standard of accomodation.

Sadly, from personal choice, we would not stay with your company again!
(107225056)

None particularly come to mind

Position of Hotel - awful! Sooooooooo noisy. No decent restaurant anywhere in the area. What was on offer in the hotel was also not acceptable. The "continental breakfast" was a joke!! Have you ever had a REAL continental breakfast? Vastly different to the one in the hotel. Coffee in paper cups tasting of cardboard, again awful!
Sue from Wimborne, GB (Mature couple) 08 July 2008
Not to usual standard that we would expect.
(108075058)

Tooth beakers taken away and not replaced nor were coffee/tea that was used replaced for second night.
Food available not to standard we required.

First time in a Days Hotel. The staff. service and room were much better than Travel Lodge. An overall excellent experience.

there was no resturant at the hotel and had to walk twenty min to get any food other than the poor qulity and also expensive services food which we passed
(97265826)

The rooms where very comfortable and clean every thing we wanted

we asked for breakfst to be included in the price but this did not hapen in the morning to our surprise it was not booked and were told this very abruptly by the desk clerk without offering any solution this did disapoint me has i had aranged this stay at short notice for three of my work colleges whitch made me feel very bad
Anonymous (Solo business traveller) 10 November 2007
overall very impressed
(97139046)

everything that was needed was there with no fussy extras that were not required (which the customer ends up paying for in the end)
Days Inn came across like an experienced well oiled machine

that the no smoking Executive suites were further along the corridor than the smoking exectutive suites and to walk through that corridor 1st thing in the morning for a non smoker was not pleasant. The rooms should have been designated the other way round.

As a motorcyclist I appreciated the care the concern shown by the staff about its security and the opportunity to park close to reception so the security staff could keep an eye on it. It was still there in the morning!

TV was a bit clunky

When I booked online I didn't realise I had to exit at Junction 21 and turn northbound to reach the hotel. I rang the hotel as the instructions were not straightforward, and I thought the map was poor. The accommodation suited me fine and the early breakfast was ideal for me.
(99482811)

I was travelling with my two obedience dogs for a championship show. The dog friendly rooms are located on the ground floor which is ideal. The parking was very close to the entrance which was also a plus, and the room was large enough for the dogs beds without falling over them!

After breakfast I was ready to leave but had to go back to the room to wash my hands. Wet wipes in the reception area would have saved me time.

No prior indication that no bar on site. Food in next door services area was very limited and what I choose for supper was revolting so skipped breakfast which I never do. This and very smelly room means that I will never visit a Day's Inn anywhere again.

Bed comfortable

Asked for smoking room but it stank of stale smoke which is not necessary and therefore completely unacceptable

The room was nice. There were hairs in the bed and the tea facilities had been used. It was as if someone had been in the room before us and it hadn't been cleaned. We went to reception to see if we could move rooms but no one was there so we left at 9pm and drove home.

overall we had an enjoyable stay overnight but just found it a bit on the small side. it says theres a restaurant which is a bit misleading due to it being the reception area aswell, when we booked it, it said continental breakfast included in the
(99565821)

everything was clean and tidy and to a high standard, polite staff, comfy bed, and you get free tea, coffee, hairdryer, fan,tv and ironing board etc.

pretty small room, no bar-obviously due to being on the motorway! and says there is a restaurant but is actually the reception area to eat your breakfast! which i found a bit unusual!
Robert from Hamilton, United Kingdom;GB (Solo business traveller) 23 October 2006
Apart from the unclear directions to the hotel (for the record it's in the M1 northbound service area)it met my needs completely. Staff were very friendly and I was made to feel very welcome - which isn't always the case when travelling with a dog! Standard rooms are a reasonable size and well-enough equipped.

Days Inn hotels are cheap and easy to use - pretty good value if all you're looking for is a basic stop-over. The staff were excellent and all the basic facilities were there for our use. Found it a bit noisy when you get a boisterous neighbour, but not too bad. Only real bone of contention was the ambiguous nature of the directions to the hotel as given in our confirmatory email - it was really important for us to get the correct side of the motorway as we had a disabled traveller, but we ended up having to cart her over the bridge then moving our car. Please note that the hotel is at the Leiceter Forest East Service Station exit, but it is best to approach from the SOUTH, as it is on the WEST side of the motorway.

The room was basic, which was all that was needed for the occasion, however a deeper bath would have been wonderful for a good wind down at the end of the day.
(3304457031)

Very easy to find and although it was right on the motorway, it was reasonably quiet.

The included breakfast was great, but healthier options would have been better, for example brown bread instead of white and more cereals like sultana bran that contain less sugar. Also the convention attended was a fitness one and a relaxing bath at the end of the day would have been wonderful- the baths here were too shallow. A fridge in the room would have been nice too.

Better sound proofing needed - road noise from the M1 too intrusive. Better signage required when crossing bridge from Southbound carriage way. Info on website doesn't make it clear which side the hotel is on. Online booking system indicated twin rooms available, but did not give the option to book one! I had to book a family room, at a higher rate, to ensure we got separate beds.

This hotel was used by us as a stopover on our way to Manchester. All we needed was a bed for the night. It was clean, comfortable and friendly, exactly what we were looking for.
