The gentleman who was on duty when we arrived was charming. The breakfast was excellent

Uncomfortable mattresses Hard, low quality pillows Staff ignored requests for new pillows, we were not allowed back in our rooms for 40 minutes on arrival back at hotel under the pretext that they were cleaning the room properly - we had not complained about the cleanliness, and there was no difference when we entered the room. Thereafter we had no hot water. We did not complain, as we had learned by then that any requests/complaints would be met with an insincere apology and no action.

Overall a good stay. Appreciated the double windows! No noise from the street, and also good against the cold November nights!

The staff made our stay really pleasant. It would have been convenient to be able to get a drink when returning to the Hotel after a day out, but this was not a great problem. Having the choice of two tube stations so close was a real bonus and allowed us to cover a wide area without too much trouble. It was really nice to have a room overlooking the park as well. Hotel description gave the impression that there was a pull - in area to stop before parking. In fact you have to stop on a very busy road -difficult with 2 people, impossible with 1. Staff were willing to help carry in luggage however which was very helpful.Parking is some distance from the main hotel entrance and rather precarious - they scraped someones car while moving it out to get ours out.Having said that the hotel was very good value and very conveniently placed. Great location. Directly located across the street from Hyde Park and only a two minute walk from the Queensway Tube Station and four minute walk from the Bayswater Train Station. Several nice restaurants and pubs within a five minute walk. The breakfast that is included with the room is excellent.
