Good restaurant with varied menu at reasonable prices. Good quality real ale in the bar. Parking space.

The bathroom had only 1 of its 2 lights working as did the bedroom. Room in need of redecoration. TV needed more channels.

The standard of the rooms and general decor could do with renovation. The walls were bare of paint in many places and looked run down. For the price i think it needs renovationg as it would then atract more people. (97754537)

Beautiful looking hotel in a beautiful setting

Staff seemed disinterested - as an example when asked to call a taxi handed me the phone and gave me a number to call. Hotels always call taxi in my previous travels. The firm I called didn't know the address and neither did I.

Enjoyed a friendly and relaxed stay after we had located the elusive car park! Food was fine and the room was quiet and comfortable. (97051666)

If I have a criticism it is that the car park was a little hard to find, (no biggy). I had dinner in the restaurant and the starter was a little slow in coming but the waiter was very busy and a lot of people were dining outside which didn't help. However the main course arrived on time and was excellent, the steak was cooked to perfection, although I am not a great lover of chips and onion rings, I prefer fresh vegitables with my steak. Overall my stay was pleasant and enjoyable. Oundle is a hidden gem, I have passed it many times over the years and until now had not realised how picturesque and pretty it is, a longer stay next time I think. (3305045662)
