Very friendly staff and good location

The hotel is old (and probably listed) and so the windows are not as good at keeping out noise from the street as they could be.

As far as I was concerned there was no facilities for the disabled but the owner went out of his way to ensure that I was not put at a disadvantage. I can walk with sticks and managed the stairs slowly. The owner did make sure that our room was on the first floor and he explained why there was no disabled access- Planning Office and the need to maintain all the listed features over-rulled the new Discrimination Acts. I would not hestitate to recommend this hotel to any ambulatory disabled person. Cases are carried from the car to the room and back out again by the owner who meets you at your car in the private and secluded car parking. I felt very welcome here and would definitely stay again if I return to the area. (3304688720)

Mine host was a charming and welcoming person who went out of his way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. I cannot compliment him and his wife more for their friendliness and helpfulness. It made a most welcome change and Iwill have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to my friends.

Nothing was even a faint dislike.

We were in Telford on business - my husband was attending a conference. The hotel is clean, staff very friendly and accommodating and the room was clean, spacious and above all it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and the food excellent. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. The only drawback initially was to discover that there is no evening food service but there are plenty of restaurants in Telford and a fantastic Cantonese restaurant within two minutes' walk of the hotel. Large, clean room and very comfortable bed. Very helpful staff (especially directions to the hotel). Great breakfast and overall very good value.

Only one area - the shower in room 9 is on its last legs!
