the hotel is well located to the town centre (only a short walk), beds are very comfortable and you can't beat there shower

It's a small, friendly hotel which we like. Very convenient for our visit, easy to find from the motorway and central for the town of Wellington. The accommodation was very comfortable and the staff helpful.

We only stayed for one night so difficult to find anything to dislike.

Simple things like there was no remote for the TV. I couldn't find spare power sockets, so to boil the kettle you had to unplug the TV, and unplug the desk lamp to plug in my laptop.

The hotel was very easy to find. The staff were very nice showed us our room and left us to it without any hassle. The room was clean and tidy with a nice warm shower and the room wasn't too hot which I sometimes find in hotels. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. The parking was spacious too with lovely Gardens surrounding the hotel. (2905655)

The hotel is situated on a main road which was quite noisy with teh windows open but was otherwise quiet. Once windows were closed traffic noise largely disappeared no other disturbances by passing youngsters etc (2798895)

I've stayed in this hotel under previous ownership. The new management are keen to satisfy their customers and are kind and helpful. Parking is excellent and when asked information was promptly supplied. Due to roadworks I was held up and my arrival delayed. This presented no problem to the duty manager and I was met by every consieration. I use several hotels on my business circuits but the Grove excelled in client care. (2816395)

In room info eg what channels were on tv,and how to work shower, however these were not hindrances and did not detract from the care and comfort of the overall ambience.

The hotel is run by two brothers and the general ambience is quiet and dignified without being pretentious. The dining room particularly is Georgian and it has been modernised in a sympathetic manner. I think the only slight point to make is that guests arriving early e.g. I arrived at 12:00 noon, might not have eaten, and the owners wasted no time in arranging a light meal for me, which was excellent. However, if the chef comes on say at 1:00 pm or whenever, guests need to be aware of that fact beforehand in order to make the necessary arrangements. (2495472)

We spent two nights here whilst touring. We certainly recommend it. Service and food were faultless. Public rooms immaculate. Saw several bedrooms all comfortable and very clean. New owner is refurbishing some rooms and further developing Restaurant. A good base for those exploring Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale and the Hotel seems popular with Businness visitors (2682017)

The hotel is well situated a few minutes from the centre of Wellington, a pleasant town with a few good pubs and restaurants around a market square. The hotel is well run with a personal service. Breakfast was of a good standard and one isn't kept waiting. My only concerns was that the only available room was previously occupied by smokers and as a non-smoker it was quite unpleasant. The smell of stale smoke is never a good one. The heating stayed on until the early hours which made the room very hot, although there is probably some way of controlling this. Overall I would rate this as a good hotel to stay at for business or short breaks. The friendly personal service is a credit to the hotel. (2075138)
