Good and pleasant.
(97608937)

Cleanliness and order of the room was excellent.

Some of the antique furniture are in need of some minor attention. The bath needs some attention as well. Hotel carpets would be something to look at for changing some time soon in order to give much better impression.

Location, value, and very nice staff.

somewhat hard to control temperature in room 10. opening the window worked okay.

In general, I enjoyed my stay, with the exception of the circumstances noted above.
(97763274)

The location is very convenient, just 1/2 block from the Notting Hill tube station, on a lovely road of white collumned townhouses. The rooms are decorated with very pretty antique furniture with a shabby chic feel and are very warm.

The first room I was given was on the lower level and had serious plumbing problems. The water in the bathroom sink began to gush out of the bottom of the sink instead of coming out of the faucet and the knobs on the bathtub would come off in your hand. As soon as I made the front desk aware of the problem with the sink, however, they immediately moved me to a new room which was fine in every way. Another problem was that my husband called me several times from the US during my 5 day stay and was told twice that there was no one by my name staying at the hotel. He just laughed and insisted that they keep looking for me and he was ultimately connected.

Very enjoyable stay. We booked for our 20th Wedding Anniversery. The room lived up to our expecations. The only lacking thing was no mini bar!
(97145382)

We enjoyed our stay. The room was exactly as advertised eg four poster bed and whirlpool bath in a traditional English hotel.

The radio was a bit tempermental. The satelite did not include pay per view channels such as sky sports.

Staying at the Abbey Court Hotel was an excellent experience. The stay was booked as part of a Birthday celebration for my partner and the staff were very accommodating, providing champagne in our room as requested. Their helpfulness in booking transport for our night out in London was top notch and I am only sorry that we were not staying any longer.

I would like to have known that the jacuzzi bath was not that big. The room shown on the website also seemed bigger than ours was. It would also have been nice to know that the hotel rooms were on 3 floors with no lifts.Otherwise,it was a pleasent stay.
(99022095)

The room was cosy and felt like you were at home. It had all the facilities you would need.

We were in a room on the top floor which meant 3 flights of stairs. The breakfasts were average but ive had better. The floorboards were very creeky and part of the headboard on the bed was loose. When you left the hotel and returned you had to ring the buzzer which twice took quite long for an employee to let you in.

Country inn, quiet setting near Portobello Road. Convenient to tube, Marks and Spencer eats, good restaurants, movie theaters and parks. Staff helpful and kind. Good value for price in London.
(3305019219)

Wonderful staff. Very low key and helpful. Breakfast a real advantage. Very quiet.

Something that couldn't be helped -- our visit was during a heat wave in summer: air conditioning would have made the visit better. Fans were helpful.

we would like to have been told we were in the basement, it smelt a bit damp and was offputing, however the room was adequate, i thought that the furniture was very tired and needed renewing, but otherwise the stay was fine, a good breakfast though.

the room was a good size and adequate bathroom

we were not told it was in the basement and was disappointed when told ther e was not a room we could have available elsewhere.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, on a quiet street but less than 2 mins walk to Notting Hill Gate Tube. The staff were really friendly and helpful - I had to leave early and was struggling with my luggage, they let me leave it in reception for the day until I was ready to get the train.

For the most part the staff is very professional and accommodating. The hotel is clean, well-ordered and very quiet. The breakfast room could do with a bit of unobtrusive music as it is dead quiet and difficult to converse above a whisper without feeling like you are disturbing other guests, however the lovely breakfast (both Continental and full English) made up for it. Beware that this is a sheet and blanket hotel which would greatly benefit by an upgrade to duvet bedding, but the bed and ample pillows were very comfortable. The jacuzzi is only big enough for one, but it and the shower were very good. Overall, this is an excellent value for money hotel, and we wouldn't hesitate to book again and to highly recommend it to others.
(3304185314)

The hotel is very close to an underground station and a high street with shops. It is situated down a lovely, clean and very quiet residential street. It was very easy to find and its central location in London is superb for venturing out.

All the members of staff need to be made aware of what type of booking guests have made so that there are no embarrassing confrontations about what is included in the price of the room and what isn't.

My wife commented that she expected a 'wow' factor but was a little disappointed.
The Abbey Court was a lovely hotel but things like a stain on the bedroom carpets were disappointing.
The bathroom appeared somewhat dated.
Breakfast was a dissappointment, I did not expect to spend best part of £200 on a room and then pay extra for a full english breakfast.
(2389116)

The location and style of the hotel was a big plus.

Decoration appears dated, could update and still retain period appearance.

Just like a town house. nice coservatory for breakfast with a good range of continental items - meat, chesse as well as the usual.
Didn't have an opportunity to sit outside the conservatory but saw that there were acouple of small tables with chairs in place.

Off the main street in a residential road, so it was quiet but all shops, tube, portobello road etc within a short walk.

We stayed here for three nights. Our stay was enjoyable for good location (within 3 minutes from Notting Hill Gate station), frendly staff and confortable rooms. Breakfast was plentiful even continental breakfast, and there are many convenient shops and restaurants near this hotel. As a foreign traveler, we hoped English traditional small hotel. This hotel pretty meets the hope. If you think in the same way, especially recomandable!

Pretty good. I prefer smaller hotels even when it means missing on some conveniences associated with the larger ones.
(1583289)

The intimate feeling of the hotel. Not as impersonal as a larger one. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Taking the luggage down three+ flights of steps (my fault) could have asked for help from the desk attendant.

The hotel is well situated, right near Portibello Road.
That was nice but the overall condition of the hotel was poor.
My room could have been cleaner.
Also if I had known there would be no heating in my room I would not have booked.
I requested the heating to be turned on 3 times on the last night we stayed.
Room was still cold when we checked out.
