The only slight embarrassment was that I had assumed that payment had already been made online, and was therefore surprised to be asked to settle up on departure. My lack of reading, for sure, but the manager did say that this was a frequent misconception. The service, food and accommodation were truly excellent, though the price was slightly higher than experienced elsewhere - even in touristy destinations such as St Ives. Thank you. (97657685)

The owners are exremely friendly and I recieved a warm welcome. Very helpful with directons and attractions in the area. The room and en-suite bathroom were an excellent size, tastefully decorated with lovely view. All facilites and equipment worked well. Breakfast was excellent. (3304712081)

I cannot think of anything negative to say about coombe lodge. The owners were very friendly and welcoming it was a real pleasure to stay there. Everything was very clean and well looked after and my husband and I would definately stay there again, our room had a wonderful view over Ilfracombe harbour even though the weather was not to kind to us the hospitality was. A small friendly hotel. Most welcoming and helpful. Hosts not overbearing, left to your own devices unless you require assistance, which was readily available.
