I was expecting to be staying in a pub, but found a gastrotel with a small bar intended for restaurant patrons waiting for their table. The menu had some unusual combinations. (107872466)

The hotel provided very good service with rooms tastefully furnished with an individual style, (although quite small). Bath robe and shortbread - a lovely touch. Quality toiletries and a cafetiere also added to pleasure of stay. I would have preferred somewhere to work at a desk in my room. Food and service - excellent, first class. No drawer space for a longer stay but not essential for me as a short stay business guest. I would definately stay again even though mobile networks did not seem to operate from anywhere other than the middle of the car park! Helpful for rooms to have own extension numbers available for outside calls to be taken through a landline. (99799054)

We ate in the Bistro and the food was fantastic. Even the breakfast seemed cooked to perfection! We had a superior double room which was definitely worth having as was very spacious. (99918228)

The room was decorated in a very stylish way whilst still in keeping wtih the traditional features of the Inn.The little touches made for a very comfortable stay.

No dislikes but would usually expect a proper shower. However, the hand held shower was extremely powerful so not a major problem and the bath was lovely.

Clean, friendly, very well decorated rooms, very comfortable, excellent value for money.

Possibly would have preferred a slightly earlier check in time or later check out time but no major problem. It worked well.

Stylish bedroom with plenty of space.

White paint scheme in the bar had been applied over brick fireplace and exposed beams. Now looking rather sad.

Overall impression of hotel from the outside is very good. The annexe was fine and room very nicely set out. Excellent bathroom and and the finishing touches were very good. The breakfasts and evening meal were very well presented and the staff attentive and friendly. (3305174310)

Light and airy room, comfortable beds and excellent bathroom facilities.

Not being able to lock the door. I know it could only be opened by a key but would still have liked to be able to lock it once in the room. Maybe just the room we had but would have liked a shower as well as a bath.
