The hotel was comfortable and the rooms pleasant. The staff were friendly and only too pleased to help even with unusual requests. The food - both breakfasts and evening meals - was excellent using local produce. We hope to go back again and will recommend the hotel to our friends and family. (97926213)

Five miles from Bath, this is an ideal visiting base using good 'park & ride' facilities. Car essential. Do not try to find it in the dark without satellite navigation to help. Breakfasts are excellent. The dinner menu appears to be the same every night so fine for 3 or 4 nights - after that I am not so sure. The staff make it a delight. (97050064)

Room very nice and nothing was too much trouble for the owners and the staff.Food was lovely and a varied menu .Owners and locals happy to sit and chat about the history of their surroundings. Rooms were clean and well laid out.

The hotel was situated in a small village with nothing much around it, which was perfect as it was very peaceful and relaxing. Bath is about 15mins away and the owner gave us directions on how to get there and where to park, which was very easy. The rooms were clean, with towels and coffee making facilities provided. They were cleaned every day. Dining was great - we had a cooked breakfast in the morning and ate in the restaurant in the evening, which was also very nice and plentiful. Before eating our meal we sat in the lounge/bar area which was again very relaxing - the owners have thoughtfully provided board games and cards to use whilst you are there. The hotel is ideally located for visiting Longleat Safari Park (which we did) and there are shops such as Tesco only a few miles away. We really enjoyed our stay here and it was obvious it was a family run hotel and had that cosy welcoming feeling - we would definitely revisit this hotel again. (97331928)

The hotel staff were friendly, helpful. Accomodation was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in a hamlet about seven miles from Bath but good for touring the area. There is a park and ride within 10 minutes drive, allows you to visit Bath without the hassle of parking in town. Good choice of food in restaurant and well cooked. (99054883)

The Hotel is a very charming place especialy the lounge bar which has a beautiful fireplace.

We stayed in a smaller double room which was a bit cramped and the shower did not have a strong flow of water

A very friendly hotel with a nice and well priced restaurant attached. Written directions to the hotel were useful although sometimes the road signs to the hotel stopped! It was close to the park and ride for Bath and there were many attractions not too far away. The rooms were clean and functional although the cheapest rooms (that we stayed in) would be a little small if staying for more than a couple of nights. (3305107138)

I found the hotel very clean & tidy. Our host was very helpful & he check to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent. We as a family had our evening meal after a long journey. The waitress asked if the children would like their meal with our starter which was very helpful as they are much slower eaters. The food was served very poromptly and the waitress was very attentive. The room had everything we needed & was spotlessly clean. The decor in the room was tasteful & very comfortable. We asked for a family room and it was nice & quiet - no loud noises to keep the children awake. The next morning our breakfast was delicious - the mushrooms are to die for!!! I have only been home a few days & I have recommneded this hotel to 2 of my friends already. (3304837566)

Overall this is a very good hotel, in a quiet and peaceful setting, The rooms are very clean and to a high standard the only gripe we have is that there was no water only a trickle in the early evening for the shower, otherwise no complaints, food good and piping hot, staff friendly and helpful. I browsed the internet to find a hotel and your one came up that (A) we liked the look of e.g. lovely location and very attractive building and the rooms looked clean, modern and light.(B) was not as expensive as some others.
