A very friendly family run hotel in a central location. The hotel is traditionally decorated. I booked a standard double, which had plenty of room and an extra heater, which was great as it was a cold night.

Quiet, understated country house style of hotel (which we like). No fuss. Everything in place.

Very comfortable, spacious room with view overlooking garden. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast.

Bathroom, though spotless and modern, could not have been any smaller - larger sized persons beware.
Jasmine from St Peter Port, Guernsey, GB (Family with older children) 23 April 2008
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at this hotel, and would stay again and with a full heart recommend it. The off season rates are extremely competitive, without loss of service or comfort.
Thank you for an extremely pleasant stay.

Homely, but stylish, character and warmth
ian from reading, GB (Mature couple) 09 March 2008
the fact you could book in at 13.00 and not book out untill 11.00. it was also in a quite location but close to town center.if you like old style decor this is an ideal hotel as it has wood paneling throughout.

Marjorie from Tonontoul, GB (Family with young children) 16 July 2007
Unhappy that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, bedclothes only pulled up and bed not made. Not informed a live band was playing on night of arrival or wouldn't have booked in with a 21 month old grandchild. Very noisy. Overall the staff were pleasant and when I complained about the dirty bath The owner did offer to clean it for me.

Central location

Noisy. Bed not made properly, cup not washed and bathroom not cleaned. Had to ask for cleaning materials to clean bath before bathing my 21 month grandson. Did complain but told that when guests leave the room is blitzed but as we were staying another night it hadn't been done as thoroughly.
