Local Attractions near Mediterranea Resort & Convention Center

  • Pompei (28.97 km) - The sheer size of the Pompei excavations is astounding. The ancient Roman city was so quickly buried following the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD that many of the buildings and mosaics remain well-preserved. You need a lot of time to see the whole site, but highlights include the Vesuvius-dominated Forum, the Amphitheatre, the House of the Faun and the beautiful frescoes at the Villa dei Misteri.

You can also book a mini-cruise to Capri, or just take one of their regular ferry services to and from various resorts along the Amalfi coast.
