Hotel Bernstein

I had a very pleasant stay and rate it highly as a budget standard Hotel. Excellent value. (107117230)

Very basic but clean, welcoming and friendly. Adequate varied breakfast - (really good fresh rolls). Excellent location for travel throughout Berlin. Very good and varied eating places nearby.

I had problems getting access to the hotel - reception not open throughout the day. Hot water took a long time to arrive at the tap (had to run it for 5 minutes) but was plentiful when delivered. The Hotel was generally very quiet and I slept soundly but the floors were noisy when I left in the early hours of the morning. I hope I did not trouble other guests.

The room was comfortable, reasonably big and quiet at night. The hotel was very well located and close to the u-bahn (underground).

None of the hotel staff spoke English, which made communication difficult.
