Euro Garden Mark Hotel

The hotel was 4 star rated - this is in my opinion over-rated. Noise and smell does not fit with high price. (97724286)

Room smelt of smoke and drink, noise from the traffic and building work

The description of the hotel on the website was very good including a map and amenities available. The only downside was that they claimed the soft drinks in the minibar were free of charge, but this only consisted of a small bottle of water. (97037737)

Central location, friendly staff and a really good selection at breakfast.

The beds were too hard.

This hotel is ideal for sightseeing in Cologne, especially if you arrive at the main station as we did. It only takes 5 minutes to walk from the station, and the area around the station seemed safe in the evening. It's not a picturesque area, but it's clean and safe. There is a lot of building work going on near the station, but we didn't hear any of the noise in our rooms. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful. It was very helpful to be able to use their left-luggage facility during our last day, as we had a late evening flight and could spend the day in Bonn. We have to mention the fantastic buffet breakfast which is included in the price - it was fresh, delicious and extensive. The mini bar is even included in the price, making this hotel especially good value for money. (97909468)
