very small room overlooking rail station - we checked out ahead if intended date and found another hotel on Cologne

We got the hotel at a really good price during Christmas market season and was very pleased with our choice. Location was excellent, staff very helpful, room was very clean and a decent size for three people. Would definitely choose this hotel again. (97772416)

What I didn't like was that we couldn't pay the fee with our visa card when we checked out. We booked on line and it gave the inpression that it be charged on our card. When we checked out they told us where to pay in cash and beside the reception there was a small note indicating payment under 100 euro was to be paid by cash.Would have been nice if they mention that when we checked in.A personal touch.The breakfast room could be bigger as it got crowded after 9am and peoople had to queue to just sit down! Would have nice to Indicate us to the nearest garage not say it o.k to park by the streets and say that the fine is only 5 euro that doesn't sound very good we want to make sure our car is safe!(we not from germany don't know the city regulation so we justed wanted to be sure) (99146353)
