clean tidy warm

booked half board which was cancelled last minute by booking office. Arrived 7pm. nto exactly late! No one on reception just a note with key & request to lock entrance door when finally in. not that breakfast would be at 8.30am - ridiculosely late if catching early ferry. Had to leave without breakfast. No instructions on where to park car. Large gate blocking entrance. Had to get behind through side door to unbolt. very difficult to pull bolts and gates jambed on rough ground. On parking had to lock gates. At 8.30 am one one on reception & restaurant locked. beating on door had no result had to go outside & beat on another external door several minutes. Just about to leave when Guy opend door. was very unpleasant when I complained, said he had been up an hour!

The hotel was welcoming and made our stay pleasant. We ate in the restaurant and had an enjoyable meal. (107824048)

Neat clean tidy throughout/ off road parking good/ nice location/ handy for shopping.

Room small but adequate/Shower too small to use adequately i.e. too small to bend down/no coffee tea making facility/TV poor quality/ very noisy from traffic could not close window to reduce noise due to poor ventilation. May be better if in room at rear of building.
