La Quinta Manhattan

New York is a wonderful city, vibrant, exciting, diverse and full of "must do" things for the itinerary. The hotel as stated occupies a central location and therefore was a very convenient base but more suited to a stopover/single night stay. I would not recommend it for more that a 1 - 2 night stay. Good central location, easy walking distance to main shopping areas/attractions e.g. Empire State Building, Macys

Double room accommodation booked but we felt that the room was smaller than the average travelodge size double. Hotel is in need of refurbishment the decor is dated, edges of the wallpaper separating from the wall in room we occupied. Breakfast dining area is too small to accommadate guest numbers - some guests had no choice but to eat breakfast in the reception area as signage clearly stated that food not to be taken to guest's rooms.
