I would stay here again overnight because it was central and cheap but not longer than that because I wouldn't want to wash in the bathroom
(107153104)

Close to the Albert Hall
Close to museums
Close to Hyde Park

Had to fix the toilet flush myself as it had nearly fallen off
Don't think the bath had ever been cleaned
Shower head bracket broken so didn't hang on the wall
Sink water wouldn't drain away properly
No grille in the plug hole
Room smelled of cigarettes
Window broken and difficult to open
Anonymous (Mature couple) 09 October 2008
poor hotel
(107166493)

ery poor old worn out broken toilet seat no milk for tea making cracked basin nolight in toilet carpets very grubby
Anonymous (Solo leisure traveller) 07 October 2008
Anyone looking at this hotel as a possibility, don't book it.
(107110836)

My single room had a window that would not shut and someone had shoved toilet roll in between to try and keep the draught out. There was no light bulb in the lamp, horrible tea whitener and dirty walls. Also dirt around the bathroom pipes.
Anonymous (Solo leisure traveller) 29 September 2008
For the price, the hotel looked a little tired and run down.
(107145502)

Good Location. Comfortable bed. Nice clean sheets.

Peeling paint, mouldy carpet on my landing floor. No cooked breakfast as promised.
John from Nr.Chester, GB (Group of work colleagues) 21 September 2008

Decent
(107156731)

The staff was very kind and helpful.

I was made to wait for my for two hours. The room was small, which was acceptable, however the bedding was unclean.
Anonymous (Family with older children) 30 August 2008
Never again - one night was more than enough and the general standard of cleanliness dissuaded us from taking breakfast at the hotel!
(107124803)

None with the exception of the helpfulness of the evening receptionist.

Unhelpful, surly receptionist on duty when we arrived, a very unclean and hot room in a state of some disrepair, inadequately flushing toilet and mould all over the walls in the shower room.
Malcolm from london, GB (Mature couple) 26 August 2008
Very uncomfortable and an altogether unedifying experience
(107276074)

location

Room too small
Poor decorative condition of room
Bathroom dirty and broken equipment
Low level of security
Unclean common areas and lift
Lift in poor state of repair and unsafe
Maintenance work being carried out on a Saturday evening
JANE from PERSHORE, GB (Group of adult friends) 11 August 2008
dissapinted with the hotel. Proms were great!
(108051728)

very good location

both rooms were tatty, and run down with large areas of peeling plaster and mould on the walls and ceiling, not a healthy environment for and asthmatic as my daughter is. The showers were old and the grouting had large black patches, none of my family wanted to use them. Window in one room was broken which meant the noise of the traffic throughout the night was non-stop.
K E from SHEPSHED, GB (Mature couple) 02 August 2008
cheap and cheerful o k for couple of nights but no longer
(108075848)

close to tube and museums large reception area
linen clean

rooms too small, we had a double bed in what was clearly a single room the bed was pushed up against a wall you could not walk round it or open the window
andrew from Rolling Hills Estates, US (Group of adult friends) 17 July 2008
Although the Eden Plaza has one of the best locations for a stay in Kensington, the hotel itself was overpriced, understaffed, undercleaned, and shoddy. It was more akin to a Hostel than a Hotel.
(108074479)

Location was excellent.

Cleanliness was a factor. Facilities were shoddy. No internet, which is essential. No toiletries to speak of. Shower stall was dirty. Television reception was poor. No remote control. Two lightbulbs in the room were non functional.
Carol from Newcastle upon Tyne, GB (Group of work colleagues) 16 July 2008
Hotel was in a good position for visiting places in Kensington area. It was clean and comfortable.
(97638308)

Comfortable beds and new bathrooms.
Breakfast was served in a pleasant area and the variety of food was good.

Requested early check in as I was travelling through the previous night, but not available
Room was small but adequate for a short stay.

a bed to sleep in and five minutes walk from the tube station.

booked via internet had confirmation of a different hotel and then on the day of travel was advised the hotel booked was full. only available hotel was the eden plaza which to be perfectly honest was the worst hotel we have stayed in ever, dirty beyond dirty & small beyond small.

The matress was the worst, the most broken down thing I've been asked to sleep on.

I would like to have known exactly how far from the RAH it was located and what amenities the room provided i.e. air conditioning, hair dryer.
(97085680)

The receptionist was very friendly and pleasant.

The hotel room seriously needed upgrading. The walls were covered in marks and makeup and who knows what. The bathroom ceiling had mold growing all over it. The shower walls had mold as well. All it needed was for some bleach to be sprayed directly on the walls and left to soak. The room needed a paint job. It was a bit warm in the room and could have done with a fan.

I was attending a fitness course and needed to stay overnight as I live too far away. So it was convieninent for a stopover and a fair price for the area. There was nothing i did not know before i got there.

This hotel has clean but run-down rooms. Good choice if you get a good room rate.
(97322817)

The hotel is in a very nice area, close to shops and two underground stations. The room was very clean.

The room was very run-down. The hotel could do with new carpet.
Andrew from Cumbernauld, GB (Young couple) 30 January 2008
Whilst the staff were very pleasant and the asthetics of the building were fine, the hotel internally was of very poor quality and smelled of dampness.
The bedroom whilst clean and tidy, was very very small and the bathroom was of a very poor quality.
The breakfast was not... Bit of toast and a cup of tea...
Not what i expected.

Considering where it is located, in a busy part of West London, with many attractions nearby, this hotel is very good value for money. Don't expect 5 star luxury, though, because you are not paying for it.
