The medieval old town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber is considered to be one of the most picturesque destinations in Germany. It is still surrounded by the original city wall. Here, directly at the wall and the Wuerzburg Gate, you find our snugly “Mittemeier” – as it is lovingly called by frequent guests. This small guesthouse is an insider tip for Rothenburg fans and well-known far beyond its borders.

According to our principle to preserve the old charm in new designs, we tastefully designed each of our single, double rooms, junior suites and suites in a unique style.

Our restaurant presents itself with puristic ease: Even here you find differently designed rooms, which are combined with one another but still preserve its unique charm.

Here, Chef Christian Mittermeier himself offers culinary delights. He is vice president of the renowned association “Jeune Restaurateurs d’Europe” and has been listed numerous times in the gourmet magazine “Der Feinschmecker”. He prepares his dishes affectionately, with Italian influences and lots of fantasy. Connoisseurs of Franconian wines appreciate the elaborate stock of excellent wines from the region.

VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Child Policy:

All children are welcome. All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Cancellation Policy:

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.
