How do I search for hotels by price?
On the priceline.co.uk homepage, enter your destination in the search box. This will take you to the availability search. Once on the availability search page, you will be able to select a price range using the price filtering tool.
Where are the hotel address and contact details?
Once you have booked your room, you will be given the hotel's contact details, including full address and telephone number in the booking confirmation email. Unfortunately, we are unable to give out these details prior to booking.
How do I find directions and transport information?
You will receive directions to the hotel on your booking confirmation email. Some hotels also provide transport details on their brochure page. If you require further information please contact the hotel directly, their telephone number will be shown on your booking confirmation email.

Do I pay a reservation fee?
Priceline.co.uk will not charge you a reservation fee.
Is the price per person?
Hotel prices advertised on priceline.co.uk are per room and not per person. Therefore, if you have booked a double or twin room the price will include two people.
Do you offer special discounts (for seniors, airlines employees, etc)?
Priceline.co.uk provides the best available rates for the dates of your stay. The discounts are already included and therefore it is not possible to have any other discount on the confirmed price.
Can I use discount vouchers (e.g. issued by magazines, shops, etc.)?
No, it is not possible to use discount vouchers via our website. You will have to book through the organization issuing the voucher.
Credit Cards and Payments
How does my credit card guarantee my hotel reservation?
When you supply us with your credit card, we pass that number to the hotel. Your hotel reservation will be held until the date you indicated that you would check in. If you cancel your trip or decide to stay elsewhere, you must cancel your hotel reservation or the hotel will impose a "no-show" charge. Please note some hotels may have additional fees depending on how close to the date of stay you cancel your booking. These costs will be shown during booking and on your booking confirmation email.
Can I book without a credit card?
To book with priceline.co.uk, you do need a credit card to secure the booking.
Does the hotel need a deposit or a payment in advance?
You will pay for your stay at the hotel. If the hotel requires a deposit, it will be clearly mentioned on the overview page of the hotel. However, note that some hotels perform a pre-authorization check on your credit card as an extra guarantee. A pre-authorization is a validity check to reserve a certain amount that would guarantee the room. This amount may correspond to the price of one night or to the total costs of your reservation. Once the credit card has been validated, the reserved amount will be released.
Can I pay for my stay in advance?
Please note that such arrangements depend on each hotel's policy. Therefore, you will need to contact the hotel directly. The hotel's contact details can be found in the booking confirmation e-mail of your reservation.
Which payment methods does the hotel accept?
In order to make a reservation with priceline.co.uk, you will need a credit or debit card. The specific cards accepted depend upon the cards the hotel will accept. You can find this information on the priceline.co.uk website by choosing the hotel you wish to stay in and looking at the "Hotel Policies" area, this will show all accepted forms of payment.

Please note some hotels may take a deposit or even full payment from the card supplied at booking. If the hotel does do this, it will be stated under the hotel's policies on the website. Once you check in then you will be able to settle your bill with either the same credit or debit card you made the booking with, or a different form of payment such as another credit or debit card accepted by the hotel, or cash.
Can you supply me with a VAT receipt for my stay?
On check-out please ask the hotel to provide you with a VAT receipt. As priceline.co.uk does not take the money we are unable to provide you with a VAT receipt for your stay.
Room Types
What's the difference between a double room and a twin room?
A double room has one double bed. A twin room has two single beds.
We have two small children; can we get extra beds in the room?

Reservation Process
How do I know that my reservation is confirmed?
When you have completed the reservation process, an instant on-screen confirmation will appear. It will show your reservation details as well as your booking number. We advise you to print it out. Within a couple of minutes, you will receive a confirmation email containing more information such as the hotel's contact details.
Can someone else book hotels on my behalf?
Someone else can book a hotel room on your behalf, however their credit card will guarantee the booking and in some cases pre-payment or a deposit will be taken. This will be made clear during the booking process. We do advise you to take a print out of your booking confirmation for a smooth check-in. Some hotels may require authorisation if the guest is not the cardholder, please contact the hotel directly to arrange payment.
I have not received my booking confirmation, what should I do?
Booking confirmation emails are sent out within 5 minutes of booking. If you do not receive one within this time please check your junk email/spam folder. Sometimes emails may be identified as spam and placed in your junk email folder automatically. In case you still do not receive your confirmation, please contact us at feedback@priceline.co.uk with an alternative email address and we will resend the booking confirmation.
Can I book a room via telephone?
You can. Our reservations telephone number is +44 (0) 870 870 4333. The opening hours of our booking line are Monday - Friday 0800-1900, Saturdays 0800-1730, Sundays and Bank Holidays 0900-1730.
Can I book a room via email?
Due to the site showing live availability we are unable to offer bookings via email as often prices change and availability may sell out. It is also unsafe to send credit card details over un-secure methods such as email.
Can I request smoking/non-smoking rooms?
Once you have selected your hotel and proceeded through to the "Your Details" page, you will reach a section called "Guest Details". Here you have the option to choose smoking or non-smoking. Please note this is a request and cannot be guaranteed by the hotel.
Can I make a special request?
Once you have selected your hotel and proceeded through to the "Your Details" page, you will reach a section called "Guest Details". Here you have the option to enter a special request; it is also worth calling the hotel after booking, as special requests cannot always be guaranteed by the hotel. The hotel's contact details will be shown on you booking confirmation email.
Can I specify adjoining rooms?
To specify an adjoining room you can enter this request in the "Guest Details" section under "Other Requests". As these are not guaranteed by the hotels, we also advise contacting the hotel on their telephone number which you will receive in the booking confirmation email.
Can I book a hotel for day use?
Unless stated within the hotels room types, we are unable to supply day rooms.
Hotel policies and facilities
What are the check-in and check-out times of a hotel?
The check-in and check-out times differ. You will find them in the "Hotel Policies" area within the "Questions and Answers" section on the hotel brochure page. If you are going to arrive late or very early, we advise you to let the hotel know in advance using the Remarks field in the reservation form (in English or the language of the hotel if possible), or inform the hotel directly using the contact details you will find in your booking confirmation email.
Can I arrange a late check-in?
Once booked, your room is guaranteed. However, it is advisable to inform the hotel of your late arrival by calling them directly. Their contact details will be available on your booking confirmation email.
What documentation do I need to check-in?
To allow a smooth check-in we advise you to take a printed copy of your booking confirmation email, showing your hotel details. On check-in hotels often request a credit card for room cost, incidental charges such as mini bar and restaurant charges. Hotels abroad often also require photo identification such as your passport.
Can I arrange a late check-out?
A late check out should be requested with the hotel directly. An extra charge may apply. Please note not all hotels will have the facility to allow late check-out. It is advisable to inform the hotel of your late check-out by calling them directly. Their contact details will be available on your booking confirmation email.
How do I find out if a hotel allows pets?
In order to find out if your chosen hotel allows pets please check the hotel policy area within the "Questions and Answers" section of the hotel brochure page, alternatively contact us on feedback@priceline.co.uk where we will contact the hotel on your behalf.
Cancellations and Amendments
How do I cancel my hotel booking?
If you wish to cancel your room, please cancel via the cancellation link on your booking confirmation email. Please note priceline.co.uk does not charge any cancellation fees; however please review the hotel's policies before cancelling to determine any cancellation fees that the hotel may impose. Please check the hotel policy area within the "Questions and Answers" section of the hotel brochure page.
Do I pay a cancellation fee?
priceline.co.uk will never charge you a cancellation fee. However, in order to avoid a cancellation fee from the hotel, please make sure you cancel on time according to the cancellation policy of the hotel. You will find the cancellation policy in the "Hotel Policies" section at the bottom of overview page of the hotel.
How do I know that my booking has been cancelled?
After you have cancelled your reservation you will receive an email to confirm your cancellation. If you do not receive the cancellation email, please send an email with the details of your reservation to feedback@priceline.co.uk.

What happens if I have a complaint about a hotel?
We realise things sometimes go wrong. If you arrive at a hotel and for any reason are unhappy with the room or service you receive we advise, in the first instance, that you ask to speak to the hotel's Duty Manager.
